This video was shot between the Shelter Lane and US 202 (Ramapo Valley Road) level crossings in Oakland, NJ
On Wednesday, May 20th, I got word the SU-99 would be running on its home tracks. I opted to go to a different spot in Oakland between Shelter Lane and Ramapo Valley Road. I setup on an abandoned spur track to get the shot, but as the last few cars passed by me, i quickly relized shooting west would be a challenge due to the setting sun, so i apologize for the sun glare, but i used my hat to try to block out as much as the sun i could.

I thought this train was gonna run Thursday and then it got rescheduled to Friday but seeing it today, they either have more traffic or they’re taking the train up today because they’ll probably have little to no customers tomorrow or Friday.

There was a bridge up in Hamburg that needed to be replaced, they detoured up NJ Transit last Friday. They didn't come down till overnight Tuesday. The next 99 is Friday (5/22)

And also how do I edit on a phone because I’m a foamer with a phone for railfanning. I’m gonna use a real camera next time. Maybe like the one you use. My parents have one just idk the quality.

Depends on what phone you have. Im sure there is a editor app you can downloaded, but idk, i never done it via phone. My best advise, get yourself a camera and use an editor on PC. You can have way better control on PC

Yeah but my family’s pc is laggy 😂 it can be good but I might be able to send it to my phone to post it on yt. If I post it on pc it doesn’t load it in 1080p
