In this video I collected some of the best vocal moments of Su-metal from Babymetal. It is something I made for her birthday. She's a great vocalist and I love her. I don't own any of the clips or music, all the rights go to the respective owner.

7:31 i think that was her best performance of Akatsuki (unfinished). she cracked at the end because she found a dark place to properly represent the emotion of the song. notice a tear run down her cheek on the last verse. it was over for me after that. very rare in a performer especially when your so young with little life exp to draw from and singing a song she didnt write. i hope the more she matures, she will progress to writing her own lyrics. this would solidify her reign as the queen of metal.

Saw some neckbeard on the comments for a METAL news website correcting the article by arguing BM isn't a band and had all these idiotic reasons, calling them nothing but entertainers and not musicians because musicians write their own stuff and play instruments. Anyone who says that about them is ignorant, especially Su-Metal...she's an excellent singer and Moa and Yui are very talented as well, and apparently Moa can play the guitar. Then there's the Kami Band who are all absolute badass musicians. If you don't like BM, fine. But saying they aren't musicians is some really ignorant shit.

Your voice (the human vocal chords) is just as much an instrument, as any guitar, piano, or drumkit is...it just happens to be a natural part of your own body. So, that guy (or anyone that thinks like he does) not only is a total douche, but has absolutely no clue what he is talking about.

@@DefMettle No? Really? Get out of town? You know when people say that, they don't mean that LITERALLY right? Oh boy am I sure glad, you set me straight. I would've gone on the rest of my life and career teaching people how to sing, that your voice is an actual instrument. People have made millions and very successful careers with just their voice alone(Doo wop groups, R&B singers, choirs, pretty much any singers that don't necessarily need a backing band to play), but glad you were here. Oh, now my life is complete. Before instruments were ever created, people figured out how to use their voices for more than just speech. Singing was developed as a way to create music in lieu of an instrument. So, actually it is, and can be used as such.

Until su-metal started singing.. That blew my head clean off. She might a be cute and tiny japanese lady, but damn that low note was as good as a growl coming from her. A slow and low melodic growl. This is great and thank you for putting it together, but I think you left out the best part of Road of Resistance... The scream at the very end. I don't know anything about technical signing, but it's metal. It was one of the things, as a metal head, that hooked me when I first started listening to the band. It evoked, to me, Rob Halford and Bruce Dickenson. That was my immediate thought the first time I heard the song...long before I knew there was any collaboration with Rob Halford.

I have come to love KOA because of the two songs they do on that first collab album. Their only available full album seems to be Yeniol, which I own.

when i made this video, i was much younger and more immature. thats why i used the word "shitty". the song is great but Im just not a fan of extreme autotune or distorted voices in songs. thats why i called it that. i wish the vocals werent so distorted. but thats just my own taste in music and vocals

@@suzzle7236 I don't like autotune much either. His vocal is his metal growl. It's part of the charm of KOAs style. But I get your opinion of it. Thanks for the response.😊

I wondering if i practice my vocal, can i hit the every high keys of Babymetal songs?? I'm 22 by the way and i just found them this years.. Too bad, i missed a lot of things. Huuuu~~ Only Ijime, Damme, Zettai and headbanger song that i can sing but can't hit the high note one.. I really want to hit all the high keys of their song.. I know it impossible but just hoping for it

yes, if you practice, you will definitely be able to hit these notes. you gotta build up your vocal range and learn a good technique to protect your voice from declining. high belts (like su does) need to be sustained to be done properly. so you have to find a way to belt as high as she does without hurting your vocal chords. you can learn this by yourself or with the help of a vocal teacher. good luck! :)
