tbh this is what we need from the overdress s1 eps 1. This episode is perfect to the opening of the series, I can’t ask for more honestly. Also urara is the new MC now? she’s so adorable and yuyu now acts like aichi, he’s so mature
What a perfect first episode! I honestly wasn't expecting it, YU-YU'S GROWTH HOLY TRICKSTER! THE RETURN OF TUTORIAL MATCHES THAT EXPLAIN THE GAME! EVERYTHING WAS SO GOOD! ALREADY A GOOD STEP FORWARD, LET'S KEEP THIS PACE GOING
I like how they implemented the "Let's ignore effects for now" line, because we're literally getting the G3 rideline revealed tomorrow. Haha, clever Bushi.
Actually we are going to get the trial version tomorrow, the one Urara used is the booster version. They couldn't reveal the booster one before the trial one LOL :)
@@anonnimoose7987 Tbh, I think it's ok, since you first want to know your "Avatar" and how it works. So that you can build your deck around it afterwards
Even though it isn’t the trial deck version they are making it where trial decks don’t have skills but instead have alternate versions with rules on it (there’s a pack with the cards that have the actual effects though)
Bro so much in one episode it's so cool! Finally a proper tutorial fight which honestly slipped my mind in the first season because it was so good! but i feel like they upped their animations and art style a bit more because it looks so smooth! the beginning first fight and the tutorial fights going in and out of imagination to reality is just intense AHHHHHHHHHHH *Ded*
The one thing I always appreciated about Vanguard is that they create tutorial fight episodes so you can either learn for the first time or be reminded how the game works.
0:01 - 1:26 It's quite ironic, I mean you'd expect the MC's ace card to be a warrior and the Rival/Enemy's ace to be a dragon and now it's the other way around.
This is a fantastic opening for the series. Can't wait to see what's in store. On a side note, a strong player telling the newbie to imagine it always gives me chills for some reason.
Nice introduction episode, also by teaching them without using the skills but even when they have used skills, maybe Yu-yu has also lost ^^ Interesting 2nd part is, that there was not realy an opening or ending only a tease to what awaits us but without a big spoiler. But I can't wait for the new opening to be revaled :3
yep i guess since some viewers complained that Overdress didn't teach the game well Bushiroad and Kinema Citrus decided that they would make it better and teach the game better in Will+Dress
So the deluxe tournament is gonna be an oficial tournament? Because it looks like a underground one, like in Baki. I like the faces of the new cute girl and i wonder if the fight will be like firsts seasons again. Urara meet with our main characters and Yu-yu´s one is like destiny. I am gonna like all the new characters this season is going to bring.
Finally the long awaited season 2 Yes, i forgot it is season 3 because i binge all episode in their playlist without looking at what episode im watching kek
He could be there to scout Michiru because of his sister. More importantly, since everyone is getting new grade 3’s, I hope we can get to see a new Grade 3 Bruce in the future
Guys umm.. is it okay watching vanguard wild dress without watching the original? (Aichi ecc...) i stop watching it 7 years ago and i dont remember anything of it... is wild dress like 'in another world' that is different from vanguard original and vanguard V?
@@redv2413 So, it’s still Yu-yu, huh? I thought for a second there Yu-yu was going to pass the torch to her. Also, I don’t include IF because it’s a spin-off and not a mainline entry.
@@SolCresta3405 might be a dual protagonist who knows. Maybe Urara is also a protagonist together with Yuyu. Maybe she isn't only the future episodes will tell
The return of the "image" introduction... the president character looks boring( like a mix of kiba shion at the beginning of vanguard G and ren when he lead the foo fighters)
As someone coming from Yugioh I can say that the tutorial and mechanic are much simpler than I thought. Anime-wise, it's also more refreshing to see that there are many female players and a lot of them are just as strong.
Vanguard definitely improved in this aspect as the series went on. In the original series. It actually really annoyed me that the female fighters kept getting paired against other female fighters in the official tournaments/important fights. But they got more varied. More female fighters more males vs female fights etc.
I like how they're slowly expanding the world of Vanguard in D series, like as much as the Nagoya Castile fight was a sight to behold Yuyu and pals still aren't a part of an official tournament circle and they're pretty much unknown to the rest of the wider VG world until this season
I must say Yu-yu’s redesign is a massive improvement. While it’s only a boost in height and a new jacket the main thing is the red and black color scheme more fitting of something who plays dragon empire and connects him more visually to Trick Star than his old white and green. I am very exited for the events to come
Urara is so adorbs. Like legit, she made me smile a lot this episode. Honestly glad I let myself get back into Vanguard after being a bit skeptical over the first half of Season 1 for overdress; thought it was a bit... weird, at first, and there's still some eccentries but I'm coming to appreciate them more than blink at them. xD ~Ry
We need her to do English dub too . C’mon Bushi do this right and just use her. In case you don’t know her name is Karin Kagami and she’s Japanese and English VA of Maho Akashi from D4DJ
I find it cool that Yu yu didn't overdress once in his match to help teach her basics. It reminds me of how I taught the kids cause we started with D standard.
There's no psychalia for now and I agree with you Dress series have been different and better because there is no paranormal stuff but that's my opinion and I know some haters will disagree with it. In S1 Yuyu had the same reaction with Trickstar and nothing happened, in this season Yuyu explains that he imagines the fights. So for now it doesn't seem like they do that psychalia thing and I hope they don't use it at all it's just like Yugioh Destiny Draw thing it makes no sense
@@denman2991 boring pfft Season 1 was an introduction and S2 was pretty good. Also Bushiroad said this was not related to other Vanguard animes. This was an anime for the card game and not an anime to only promote the game (like previous seasons that were made only as promotion) not only that but this is also a more realistic approach to the card game and in rl you don't freaking have superpowers and you don't summon freaking monsters do you. No you don't and therefore Yuyu and the team doesn't, you can imagine the monsters and Cray just like Yuyu does it because that's how it goes in real life. Even the Shadowverse anime is keeping it real, there's an hologram thing that shows you the monsters
@@supansakanawat2690 yeah I was some time without playing Shadowverse because I had too many card games to play and not that much storage in my device and came back some days ago when I saw there was a PC version on Steam sadly I lost my previous account which I had like 2 skins that I had gotten for free, it's just hard to get those. And I'm also thinking in playing the Switch game as well. If Vanguard had a PC game like Shadowverse it would be cool I know Dear Days is coming and I will play that as well but it's not the same thing
A fresh start of the will+Dress series and Urara is really something special in her first play against the new leader of Blackout and the boy who defeat Mirei the mighty Yu-Yu Kondo. But there's more... a tournament arc is here as well.
I've just seen this and I was flabbergasted Every single vanguard episode is amazing I especially like overdress for not only it's use of effects but how it portrays the characters
F Urara, literally just started playing Vanguard and suddenly she's invited to a bigshot tourney XD. That aside: Urara is freaking precious. Must protect rn XD.
I have a feeling that the guy we saw is trying to see who has those power of Psyquallia. I’m guessing that he is going to use them for his plan for unknown reason.
Tutorial fights, imaging at planet Cray, and power counters. If i see anyone complaining again.... Also chat calling Yuyu noob losing to a beginner not knowing he's teaching her the basics and not using skills like bruhh... Imagine going full power against a newbie *cough* Chrono *cough*
