I feel for Suo, I know how that feels. During my worst bits of depression that EXACTLY how I felt. I'm on meds now, but damn does that bring back memories.
Man, Blangdemire really took the 0 to the extreme. Elimination of the field, abilities and use of PG really emphasises the nihilism it brings. If it could reduce power to 0, then that’d really be a pain. Also, the ending twist was executed well. It isn’t as predictable as in Yugioh 5Ds’ finale, so it works, especially since this isn’t some random character, but a character we’re already aware of. Also looking at that seventh Fated One card’s name box, you can already tell what deck is gonna be played.
The fact that it is a character we are already aware of is great to me. I really was hoping it wouldn't be a random unseen character because I like being able to try deduce things or come up with plausible scenario's. However in case it was a character we knew there weren't a lot of plausible options, narrowing down a caring relationship to Akina (motive). It feels really satisfying they did enough small things to make it make perfect sense and feel like a satisfying twist story wise. I wasn't expecting it to be revealed already but it does spice things up. Also I loved Blangdemire and the contrast between Suo and Masanori (I love Masanori), God I loved this battle and this episode :D
What A PLOT TWIST! Now this is how you do a Cardfight Show! Oh my god not only Cray but we also have TIME TRAVEL IN HERE. Is this mean Gear Chronicle can be in play? Or even goes this mean Cross over is possible?? They really open wide the Door here folks. ITS FIRE 🔥 🔥
There's alot and i mean A LOT to process here. Blangdmire skill, Suo's still unknown desire and freaking FUTURE HIKARI. I know we're back to the supernatural roots but this is almost Myoujin Ryuzu levels of absurdity lol. I want next week's episode NNOOOWWWW!!!!!!!
The preview didn’t give much sadly. It was just Future Hikari making fight poses lol. I guess, she’s going to fight as a last ditch effort to prevent Akina vs Suo.
6:53 Should i overreact to Mikotos' reaction to Akina or not? 19:38 I love this scene / part. Especially thanks to the OST sounding. What's the name of the song? 22:18 cue the reveal you have waited for 25:34 I love how Suo was just getting into Gab's nerves
I have a feeling that Suo's wish of everything turning to nothing results in all the Fated who were at the venue dying/disappearing. The sister eventually participated in the next Fated Clash and won with her wish to go back in time to prevent this from happening.
First off I have to say that the fated one of zero was everything I hope it be second I wasn’t expecting that for the mask man to be her I was hoping it was character from a previous timeline
So it looks like Akina actually passed away in the future by saving his sister. Then his sister decided to participate in the Divine thing so that she can wish to travel back in time to stop his brother from death? 😶
What is this plot twits!? I didnt expect Akina's sister is the mask guy or girl. I always suspect it is Akina from another timeline or future who tries to change his past fate. Now im hype for what will happen in the end.
The Next match should be be Akina vs Hikari, instead with Suo. Or Hikari vs Suo. since technically Hikari have fated card and there. And she participate in the future to be able travel back in time, she win fated clash in the future and travel back to stop her brother to win.
Removing enemy field, skill, and sentinel? bro going to tier 0 all the way, Akina's passive skill would also be negated... AND the masked is actually Hikari? what's next? what's her skill? the fated of time, maybe its like turn back the field to the same state as last turn or something? She knows Akina will die from fighting Suo, now the question is, is it because Suo's wish is for nothingness? or is it because of the side effect of Akina's wish (like to turn Hikari back to health his health was sacrificed instead), I have so many questions, and I hope the anime doesn't disappoint on the couple last episode
Yes, with regards to bind two enemy rg face-down, since you can't recur anything when your drop has nothing. But not for the Divine Skill, cuz the "force miracle heal with any trigger" part of Rezael Divine Skill is given to the "Player" and not "Vanguard" (unless Blandgmire is revealed 3 days from now to also be worded that it affects the "Player" as well and not just "VG")
This season gives me the same vibes Fairy Tail did during the "Grand Magic Games" arc. Disaster strikes, then a heroine travels back in time to save those who died.
masked being hikari is not that surprising since it is strange that taizo visit hikari out of nowhere. thought hikari dont want to let akina win cause winning will sacrificre akina live but it seems that rather than not letting akina win, it seems hikari want to avoid the battle between akina and suo. and why future hikari didnt visit nao?
I like Suo's deck, but they really miss the opportunity to return Deletor units. Keep his Fate of Zero and it's skill but give him a new Deletor deck. He even looks like a young Ibuki. Just a fun thought.
Blangmire Divine Skill is broken, opponent vanguard lose skill and can't perfect guard, the only way to counter is have many trigger from hand, Blitz Order or Over Trigger, also i knew Masked Guy is Hikari from future.
Well for starters it being only a once per game skill doesn’t make it atrocious and it also is a turn 4 effect because it will probably be impossible to get 8 in bind turn 3. Always it’s very likely persona riding will negate the vanguard has no skill part.
@@linkdancer3890 Chronofang: You dare to throw me under the bus Dran?! Wait until I tell Uluru about this! Chronojet/Chrono Dran: You wouldn’t dare. You’re still on thin ice for trying to take over Cray! Chronofang: That was one time Dran!
Dayum, no antagonist like gui or tohya could even bring masanori to his knees. and finally a angel feather deck, explains why taizo was so invested in helping a stranger prior to even playing akina
I also like how the current Fate Cards just basically emphasize different aspects of the old clans who became the New Nations. I wonder if the new cards (future Fates) signify that the clans are re-emerging.
@@AngelicDaniaChan3125 Eh, to be fair, without knowing the context, Rezael could easily pass as a Royal Paladin, especially since most Angel Feather Grade 3’s are either waifu’s or mecha’s.
This fight was actually pretty sick. Blangdmire literally has the design of the grim reaper so it makes sense for Suo to have the Fated One of Zero. Also Hikari was the Masked Person the entire time and she comes from the future. I see why she didn’t want Akina to win but I still have questions.
I can only imagine that she participated in a Fated Clash tournament that took place after her Akina passed away and used her wish to go back in time to save him.
@@izzy_theog9658 Depends on the theory of time travel you adopt. In linear time theory, yes, there would be a paradox, because only ONE timeline exists, and it's undone by a foundational inconsistency. Multiverse theory, on the other hand, is more flexible. Changing the past would simply create a new universe born of THAT change.
I figured Suo would be a bad matchup for Masanori, but this episode really hammered in how our favorite creep of a monk couldn’t get under his skin, from their dynamic to how Suo was able to bind Masanori’s units instead of retiring then perfectly countered his ability to revive them. It’s somewhat cathartic after all the mind games he played in overDress. As for the ending…I FREAKING KNEW IT!!! I had my suspicions that the masked guy was Hikari from the future, but never imagined that DivineZ would actually go with something that absurd. Also, now we can check off another similarity to the Fate franchise from the list.
How did the anime went from connecting this world and cray with imagination all the way to direct time travel? Not even Chrono is able to do that with his Gear Chronicle cards... But then this actually opens to endless possibilities. What I hope is the future series contain all characters from the series like Aichi, Chrono, Shin, Emi, Yuyu, Akina and their friends all in the same world.
@@funkycrawler619 It was telegraphed. If u think about it,she never once mentioned stopping the fated clash. Only that akina must be stopped. She was getting increasingly desperate, outright try to tell masanori suo's deck. Plus if u think about it out of all the characters soo far,who will be soo desperate to stop him. U can't count on nao or mikoto, not much motivation from them, plus they were eliminated early.
Yea it makes sense now. I am just more shocked cause like it has to be obvious specially after Taiyou visited the present Hikari, but I didn't think they'd go with the obvious to be honest haha its a great twist on how its introduced. @@CelestialDeathscythe
@@platzstarlight it definitely has to do with whoever is providing the Fated Clash and its little mascot all of its power and abilities, so probably something Cray-related.
Tohya was the only equivalent to that and he didn't even scare Masanori, Masanori was only pissed a bit by Tohya, but here Suo is a blackhole he which fears
Watch the video, Blangdmire will negate Rezael’s heal so he’ll have to sack it eating a at *least* 2 crit attack which will prob have massive power@@YGOHermit
@@YGOHermitNo! The opening confirmed that Akina can't win. If Rezael lost the superior call ability then he can't fight properly. Blangdmire is Baroumagmes on steroids.
@@YGOHermit It’s not plot armor. With how many critical triggers are in Akina’s deck, his chances of pulling one for Rezael’s Divine Skill go up. Plus, we don’t what will happen until they actually fight.
Rezael has zero chance to survive even if the Divine Skill was already played. Blangdmire can be played like Barou, which got you tons of power from Amandine and Swirler.
The fact that it not only nullifies vg skills until the end of the opponent's turn, but also nullifies pgs and gets critical is an overkill Divine skill. It's actually the ultimate finisher. If it's setup with being able to have huge power for final turn, the only way you can possibly survive it without having enormous guarding is to either defeat it before their 4th turn, or have as low damage as possible before then like 3 or less damage. But it still has drive check so the risk of it becoming a 3 critical attack is still there, and even higher since the rideline avoids putting g0s into soul.
@@giancarlourielmarpa6037I agree that blangdmire skill of soul charge units in trigger is the saving grace for Dark states users where we might accidentally place trigger and especially ot into soul.
Gigachad Suo didn’t even need the drive check to finish off Masanori let alone his other rearguards Makes sense though. Raising Blangdmire’s power to astronomical levels while forcing the opponent to basically use their whole hand to guard while heavily crippling their next turn is insane. Not to mention it removes pesky rearguards as well. Damn
@@funkycrawler619 Well his skill binds rear guards, so Akina can push slowly with the cards he doesn't need early on and use his more important cards to guard with, reviving them next turn. Also, if I'm not wrong, Rezael's divine skill gives the trigger heal ability to "you" the player so even with his skills negated it should still clutch the game.
@@FlashStatic if you re-watch the card explanation fragment at the end, Suo says that EVEN the opponent loses his skills until next turn, meaning it can counter Rezael's heal.
@@stefanosalvador7514No it can't nulled something that already been used. The point is Blangdmire still take away the opponent skills, Meaning Rezael is simply a vanilla VG that can only rely on triggers alone.
From the very beginning I suspected it to be her, like why would Taizo all of a sudden would know who akina's sister is and be curious to go the hospital to see akina without any reason. And furthermore I would've expected the mask to alter her voices and she kept saying akina's gonna die, hinting that its someone close to akina that would go all this way to alter the past to save him
HOLY COWe! SUO'S VOICE ACTOR'S SO COOL! 🤩 He seriously popped off in this episode 💐👏💐👏 And I love the way how the battle turned out and the sly animation to turn it all to ZERO. Plus, his theme was characteristically edgy like I expected but it's still cool👍 Secondly, HOLY COW THAT'S WHO THE MASKED MAN IS? BUT HOW 😱🤩🤩 Also, I'm a little angry how the next ep preview was just static shots😾
Honestly, I love the pacing and storytelling this season and the surprises are wild. I also just love how this gives me OG Vanguard vibes in terms of like each characters Ace is like actually relevant to their character (since you know this is suppose to re-link Earth to Cray). Honestly I am loving this is a much more improved Dress.
Ok now i have a theory Suo became an antagonist after he won the first fated clash Suo was defeated A second fated clash was established Hikari was chosen to be a participant and won Now, she came to the past to prevent suo from winning the first fated clash.
@@KilterNazkre09 i mean with suo’s main unit literally being the grim reaper and his main line is to return everything to nothing his wish is either to pull a tokoyomi from fate by returning everyone to zero meaning death to all participants or himself
@@fedoradachi884 yeah. The old reliable "If the wish is ambiguous enough then the wish-maker will grant it in the most harmful way, either for the wisher or for others).
@@scarlightemperor3410 Maybe he is in autopilot. Remember the masked "man" told him to concede/abandon. An Suo said he would do it if the card drawn after shuffle isn't Blangdmire. Which it was.
I foolishly didn't realized this until a friend pointed it out. Akina haven't figured out yet that Suo is one of the Fated Ones much less playing Vanguard. So this is gonna be quiet the surprise for him.
I'm guessing based on how Suo's Divine Skill "Returns everything to Zero", its a likelihood that if he wins, he will subconsciously erase the lives of the fighters that lose to him. Which is why Akina in particular will die since he'll the first to lose at the stage of it all. But seriously, holy moly. The person under the mask was beyond my expectations
I am still shocked that it doesn't seem Suo wants a wish like his wish is for nothing? Like he is fine with just existing in the world which if its real, is a shocking twist to his character to me at least
In hindsight, though, we probably shouldn't be surprised who was behind the mask. You don't put that much effort into a design as they did into Akina's sister unless they're going to be important. If she were only a sick little sister who exists to motivate the hero to jump at the call, she would look more like Akina's best friend from school: so plain that you forget about what she looks like as soon as she exits the scene.
@@funkycrawler619 i guess because his wish is nothing either the card will get the wish, or will just dissapear... and possibly dragging the opponent with him. explaining why akina would die
@@gorvenger1241 The wishes are not granted until the end of the entire fated clash, meaning whoever wins between Akina and Sou, will have their wish granted. Assuming that Sou still says that he has nothing, and no desire, the design force will take it as a wish to be completely isolated with nobody to bother him, which means that Akina and Sou's uncle will die immediately, since they try and probably still try to get closer to him. Masanori is still alive because the wishes have not been made, and Masanori will remain alive if Sou wins because Maso=anori wants nothing to do with Sou.
Masanori ia one who loves all forms of desires, it would even have been fine for him to lose if Suo's desire was silly or filled with anger. But there was nothing. Just zero. A person with nothing Masanori could latch onto. Never seen Masanori this rattled.
The lore drop just now is crazy I bet the card she has is part of rav lore which is why he has healing powers. Second thought we got a reincarnated ibuki , zero cares to give turning things to zero is this deleters part 2
I'm really liking this anime so far. Gives off some fate feels/vibes, with all the wishing being like a Holy Grail War and whatnot. The direction it's taking is really nice and I like how they incorporate the characters here. The introduction to Suo being one of the Fate one fighters wasn't over exaggerated, the whole scene and the fight felt like "nothing'' because the drama behind everything was so silent/subtle somehow. The projection in the episode and the reveal at the end was crazy. I'm not too big on the anime but admittedly, I did like the G era, the Aichi era, and Shinemon arc of the Vanguard Animes. The way they animated the fight through and through, not over the top as before (I still do like over the top explaining and skills and whatnot) but also not as lackluster as before is really cool! I hope to see more of this Anime in the future.
I think I get it, wish come with price, Akina want his sister heal get better and cure from her ilness bit it come with a price which is his life. Akina might win again Suo which cause his wish granted and it kill him. And in distance future her sister who live long life thank to his sacrifice come with wish to see her brother again and change his fate that when she got her fated one of time card. correct me if I'm wrong.
When was the last we had a twist like overdress s2 i guss anyway DAMN WHAT AN EPISODE from the fight to the plot twist at the end from begining to the end the BEST episode of divinez yet hope we continue on this level
So all this time, the masked man was revealed to be Hikari. What the heck is going on? And what does she mean that Akina is gonna die after his battle with Suo, that doesn't make any sense. This story is turning out to be darker than i thought.
@@superfeel1275 Gab don't know the future. He only knows the basic rule of Fated Clash. Design Force is basically materialize the unit and makes unit it's Divine Skill in real situation in exchange for something.
In a sense, its a equivelent exchange eh? Cant trade life with something other than life itself. But if Future Hikari is here, we can have the first assumption that Akina may won againts Suo and has his wish granted. The second is his sister may cant accept this fate befall her brother.
If suoh had a wish I can see what he want it.. DUDE GONNA RESET THE WHOLE WORLD FROM RESTART since he must want to see his parent once again but he's playing with the time that is why akari fate card call time.
His introduction says he's a genius, with his avatar being a reaper with a scythe, and his personality about believing in destiny. He maybe the vanguard ver of gaito kurouzu from Buddy fight DDD.
I know this ep is supposed to be about Blangdmire, and it has a really cool skill too, but LET'S GOOOOOOOO GENESIS HAS A NEW VANGUARD!!!! FATED ONE OF TIME!!!
Wait... Akina's wish is to change his sister's Fate, but with a future version of her in the Fated Clash, that raises 2 questions: 1) Did Akina really die if she's alive, and 2) how could Akina win and die in the Fated Clash. It's just causing some major paradoxes is all
Tbh, if Akina's wish is to save Hikari, I can see how he die because you can't give a life without taking a life. There needs to be balance, and if Akina wished for Hikari to live then the wish would probably take his life in order for it to come true. Also edit: I am genuienly more shocked that Suo's wish is just nothing like the fact is actually why the card picked is wild.
@@funkycrawler619 Exactly as what Masanori said to Gab that there is actually a catch before the desire can be fulfill. Maybe you are right, a life for a life. Seeing how selfless Akina is, i see no reason he would refuse to give his life for his sister so that she can continue living.
I mean yes in a way but I think the characterization is better so far. Also, I think there is still more to unpack here because Malkuth was intentional with giving a life to receive a life but here it's a bit more ambiguous so far. Also, I think one thing we're not talking about is why did another Fated Clash happen. Like yea Akina's wish may have taken his life for his sisters, but what would lead to another set of Fated Cards being made? I think that adds more complexity to this than just Malkuth's theme being explicitly life for a life.
@@funkycrawler619 my guess is because the winner of the first (being suo) became an antagonist, then later is defeated. Resulting in a second fated clash.
This episode really wowed me a lot, talk about a bad matchup for Masanori, Blangdmire‘s design is like a grim reaper and yet it’s divine skill is crazy, it really summarizes why Suo’s is The Fated One of Zero and that BGM from Suo is just badass. 👻🥹💕 And to make things even crazier, I also wasn’t expecting the plot twist either like, what the heck!?!? Now the title for the next episode makes a lot of sense and will make for a very interesting episode next week, how exciting!!! 🤪💕 #DivineZ
ma god this battle was incredible and I thought the maskman be a Akina from the future but no. Also, is interesting that Masanori found a person that break his mind xd
OMG! Blangdmire epicness was pushed to the side from just one moment! Fate One of Time! Edit: It's gonna be a pleasure to see Blangdmire destroyed those defensive fools like Lascaria & Direfull Dolls.
already loved this series, then time travel and probably the time loop were discovered, so I love it more. Now there are two sisters of the protagonist, one who is sick and small, and the other from the future who has gone back in time so that all the challengers to the tournament she intercepted would win against their opponents, making sure that they never happen akina vs the gray-haired boy, otherwise Akina would die. Unfortunately, every time the woman with the mask attempted a solution, fate worked against her. being a loop, each future version of the protagonist's sister will go back, but will fail again and again. instead the protagonist's sister, who is sick and unaware of this, will sooner or later find out everything and become the woman with the mask
Ok, we finally got something that may actually bring Angel Feather mechanics back to D, why I care I don't know but I'll take it. We've had 3 bosses who look like angels and out of the two we know only one of them interacts with the damage zone, and it's by barely. Though seriously though even if the reveal become obvious seconds before it happened (at least for me) it was still pretty cool, and the theories, at least the ones I read, called it!
This is just BONKERS! What has a mere cardgame story become? Well, its definitely not 'mere' but still, who thought of this kind of a storyline? Thank goodness I'm watching this anime, also it's prequels, or I would've something good. Even if just the fact that this anime raises so many questions is considered, it is wonderful, in my opinion.
