My 2018 Subaru wrx sti, with a catless downpipe and remark catback, no mufflers no nothin. Thanks let me know if you guys want a walk around video of the sti.
Sir James the new update has no problem in this case and the only problem that is that it doesn’t go to work on my phone to see it in my iPhone or iPod and I can’t get to see my iPad so no one has ever done the game and the problem with it I just can’t stop using this problem so far as it can have no problems or anything that
now you should film once you're about 40 minutes into a highway drive at 70mph.... makes me want to drive mine off a cliff and I'm not even straight pipe. Those remark deletes are loud af, and drone like no other.
Ed G you ain’t wrong. The drone is insane. I never really drive the car on the highway anymore tho as it’s not my daily. I def would be running a quieter exhaust if I daily drove it haha
Question my guy... So i’m hopefully getting an STi next month and what i plan on doing to the car is getting a Catback and a Catless downpipe that’s all i would really want tbh and i would obviously have to get a COBB accessport to tune it and i would ONLYYYY want to be Stage 1 ... because i wanna be safe. So with all that said .. would my tuner make me go to stage 2 and stage 3 overtime ??? (Btw i’m kinda new to all this tuning and other stuff and ive been trying to do my research)
If you get a downpipe that’s technically stage 2. If you want to be safe get a catback and a catless dp. Cobb doesn’t offer tunes for a catless downpipe so you’ll need and etune or dyno tune. Plus, cobb tunes are junk anyways. There are many e tuners out there and it’s an easy process and it’s some of the best money I’ve spent on the car. Tunes are really important and if you wanna be safe stay away from the cobb tunes and get a proper tune. Like you said you’ll obviously need an Accesport
I would highly suggest waiting for the new sti platform to come out in 2021 if you’re buying new because of a new engine platform for the sti. If not i would suggest saving 3-4k for a new block. You’re going to need it when you get a cracked ring or worse have a crack on the sleeve of the piston side wall. Its not if itll happen but when it happens. Look up mikey botti. One of the best or if not the best subaru tuner tuned my car and he told be the same thing when we were talking about it, its just the nature of the sti engine. All my sti friends Expect for one have had to get some type of engine work done to their cars. Just letting you know what your getting into. You cant go wrong with getting a type r or getting a gti which are way faster then a sti tune for tune.
HappeninG also, golf Rs and type Rs are lame my guy, I’ve test driven all, never would trade a couple tenths of a second faster 0-60 for fwd.. Subaru’s have waaaaaay more aftermarket availability, and my fa20 bent a rod and I’ve beat the shit out of all my ejs and maintained them never had an issue, yes I know people have issues with the EJ, most times it was self inflicted.
did you get the remark exhaust then get the mufflers deleted? Im looking at exhausts for a 2016/2017, Im buying one when I transfer duty stations to VA. I also heard MA performance has bad reviews, I wanna get BrenTuning Stage 1+ when I get mine. Im looking at getting this, with the muffler deletes and burnt tips or the nameless catback muffler delete, both with Invidia catless downpipe.
Nah it’s the full remark catback. No mufflers or resonators. And also I have a MAperformance Catless downpipe. Actually went with that over the invidia per two tuners suggestions, more for the divorced section, compared to the invidia bell mouth.
@@RileyMcMaster well I was looking at the Remark website and the catback comes with mufflers, your car is the level of loud I want mine to be at, and its perfect. i think ill have to take a deeper look at MA performance stuff, thanks for the info, here is the link to the one im looking at : www.remark-usa.com/collections/subaru/products/catback-exhaust-for-subaru-wrx-sti-va-2015-19?variant=30768537141344 correct me if im wrong lol. New Sub, also, love the moonroof, wanna do that too, how much did it cost to install?
@@Malicious-Intentionz right on thanks brotha, and sorry I guess I had a guy at remark do the order for me and called it a full catback, so they offer a mid pipe without mufflers, and then I have the muffler delete axels back to finish off the straight pipe, so literally my car is straight piped from the turbo. And also I did the starry night headliner all by myself, my kit was $500 as I have 3 different star sizes and i just didn’t wanna do all that work and then have a shitty Amazon setup burn out on me or something but you can get kits for much cheaper. And it was fairly straight forward to do. Very tedious and time consuming but overall not hard at all.
Thank you! I have a Malperformance catless down pipe. And a remark non-resonated mid pipe with their non resonated muffler deletes too. So it’s a full straight pipe from the turbo.
@@RileyMcMaster I'd be fine with u.. I drive a 04 forester xt fully catless 3" bellmouth 3 inch mid n a 3.5 inch axle back Mines not quiet.. I warm it up n it rattles my window cills on thay side of house... My neighbors just bought the house on my car side they were gone within 1 yr... They asked if I cared if they put a privacy fence in between our driveway I said go 4 it.. We got along fine never said ur cat too loud but I suspect it was a issue as they had a new baby
Flossy not yet no, just the catless down pipe and e tune. Wanna do 1300cc injectors, pump, and regulator kit when I have the extra money just so I can run e85. Lots of it around me
Flossy yes correct, stock air box. Sounds like your aware of the injectors being pretty much maxed out of the gate, tuner said I could run a intake but would have to dial it down, compared to my pretty aggressive tune with just my down pipe, injector duty cycle is at 97% in like 3rd gear wide open. Again only mod is a catless down pipe, and my 3 in. catback. Etuned by ambot tuning.
Riley McMaster Yes haha I’m aware of the injectors of not being able to to keep up with the stock fuel systems it sucks, these engines don’t liked to be modified at all. But I just purchased the remark catback yesterday, was looking into getting a dp for it, it’s already on the stage 1 sf ots map and thats all that’s done to it performance wise rn. I’m trying to go stage 2+ with the a dp and intake installed without upgrading the fuel system. I’m leaning towards catted but I also wanted to get the burble tune but I also don’t want to blow out my cats 😂
Flossy I have a buddy that’s been running a burble tune on a catted dp for a couple years now, I think you’d prolly be fine. And yeah you can def find a tuner to work with you if that’s all you want. Won’t be as much power as you could have, but it’ll be safe. And make lots of cool noises haha.
@@notduppy3638 damn man! If you were close to me I’d tell ya id teach ya, I didn’t know how to drive one when I got my first Subaru but it isn’t too hard and you learn quick!
@@RileyMcMaster yea id have to learn im telling you man past like 2 months its been between 370z and sti but the sti is looking soo much nicer and its not a two door which is always good
