SubiSpeed - JDM Front Grille Install - 2015 Subaru WRX and STI 

Went to the dealership and asked them to do this for me and wanted to charge $300+. I watched this video and did it with my boy and only costed me an Empanada lmaoo

You guys at Subispeed do a great service to the whole enthusiast community by making these super clear instruction video's, All I can say is thank you very much, this empowers people to try and do it by themselves and builds a lot of confidence along the way to tackle even more difficult projects.

Took me 20 minutes doing this by myself. Thanks for the great DIY video! I didn't even have to undo the light cables as there was enough space between the car and the bumper cover to undo the screws snd remove the grill.

If you remove the c-clips from the inner fender (front wheels removed) you can access the turn and fog lights to disconnect before fully removing the bumper. To me this is an extra step but you don't have to worry about wires being pulled off.

Thank you for the tips about lining up the 3 bumper bottom tabs first, that was a life saver as I was having alot of issue getting the bumper to snap back on to the bumper tabs near both of the fender

No need to fully remove bumper. Just remove top fasteners in engine bay and top side fasteners in wheel well. Then, lower top end down. You have more than enough access. I used a stubby Phillips screwdriver to remove/install screws. Great tutorial though, as always.

Thanks for this video! It showed nearly every step needed for my JDM grill install. There was a extra step needed to remove the wiring loom from the bumper on each side but it came off without incident.

Looks Great. I bought a 2015 Satin Pearl BRZ and why Subaru/ Toyota did not design these with a mesh grille was a bad idea. The Mesh Grilles look incredible on the WRX and BRZ. Anyway, I am trading mine in next year for the WRX STI which I wanted to begin with but had to wait 6 to 8 weeks and my kids talked me into the BRZ which I had in 2 Days...

One of those things if the jdm one was OEM, people would swap it out to the usdm and vice versa. Usdm looks way better ;)

I want this grille but I have a question. Is the emblem the same size on this grille? I have a black/red emblem on the back and I would want to switch out the blue to match

Thank you so much! I love your videos! Bought my 15 STI in January and recently hit the biggest opossum you've ever seen! Basically punched the lower grill loose inside the cavity. It's still completely intact, just loose inside. It looks like there are clips all around for it to click back in, but I don't see a way I can do it from the front. I had a hunch I was going to have to remove the front bumper to access and put back in place the lower grill. If so, this video is going to be a great tool to help me do it myself! GOT ANY ADVICE FOR ME? Thanks again!

US one is fugly w half done mesh. While that bumper is off Im gonna hit those 2 core support bolts w black paint and remove the stupid US only 2.5mph parking lot wreck beam..its about 20-22lbs w bolts and they do nothing for the car in a wreck above 2.5mph lol

Oem didn't look bad at all imo.. Waste of money that could be used for something more practical for the car..

USDM looks better. Seems too shiny, it doesn't match with the fog light bezels.

US only one is whack....all busy and weird. What about the 2.5mph (useless) crash bars that weigh 20+lbs under bumper.....if they dont support front can they be unbolted and tossed into dumpster also? Those beams are worthless above 2.5 mph
