Again, the intro clearly states that the Ultramechatron can only be piloted by the Chousen Four, yet we see random dudes controlling it again. These plotholes ruin my experience with this otherwhise good series..

It says "can only be controlled by" they key word being controlled. Sure those randos were making thing happen but were they really in control, like I can pick a marionette up and shake it around but that doesn't mean I can control it. And if you look at the valet parking scene the logic in its movement completely breaks down when previously it had just been clunky.

It's one of humanity's greatest flaws in that when they're told something over and over again, no matter how much they disbelieved or hated to hear it initially, it becomes familiar to the point of acceptance, and then eventually craving to hear it. However, to use the roommates as a metaphor, being their own person didn't give them freedom to do whatever they want while sharing borders with the others. A dickish sovereign nation is still regarded as offensive, and if it gets too bad, annexation might be considered. So many sovereign nations within larger countries or next to small powerful ones try to employ diplomatic relations to appease them just enough to be left alone, but still regarded as a positive presence.
