Out of every deceased celebrity/musicians/public figures, Bradley Nowell makes me the most legitimately sad. What a genuine, infectious spirit that guy had. And an incredible voice. Could sing anything and it’ll be great

Brad's playin up there with the best in heaven right now. I'm sure if Brad had lived longer, it wouldn't have been much longer, seeing how bad his drug habit was. But either way, he made great music, and he'll be my favorite singer until the day I die.

@xpaladoshes Caffeine's effect doesn't wear off after a while. You can still keep drinking the same amount everyday and get the same effect. With Marijuana, you eventually have to start smoking more and more to get the same effect as you did yesterday, and eventually, when you smoke too much of it, the only way to get that effect again is by going to a more extreme drug.

@rastastylee38 It's the only forum people have to vent such strange events like sublime's lead singer being replaced! What's wrong with expressing how you feel? This comment was at the top and I didn't even know there was a debate going on in the comments, but really... There isn't any reason to feel people need to keep their feelings to themselves.

Sublime never set out to be the Worlds best band so to the lazy boy behind the screen critics out there they just wanted to have fun playing music. I say they did exactly that and their music is just fun to listen. It isn't pretentious or broody and most of all it capture Southern California to a T. I saw them at this Warped Tour in Carson California. It turns out that Sublime much like Joy Division is a band whose popularity didn't hit till after 40oz till Freedom was released and by then Bradley Nowell had passed away. So the majority of the USA and World never saw them live. I can say that because I am from Los Angeles Sublime was very popular local band and I was lucky to be there.

How Brad seems to be looking out for someone, i notice him turning around often. Its sad to say but you would never know he had an addition. At lease for me, that is.He seems like a great friend.And funny, They all were like best friends of course. I see with new Rome, the biggest dude really don't care for him, I see this in interviews concerts, etc.No Rome he is not Bradley, but i give him credit for stepping up and i see Rome puts his all in Sublime, hes like a cool dude. But Brads lost was a mistake,Its not a fault it again was an accident. RIP Brad.

They were all addicts. It wasn’t just Brad. I notice people tend to forget that. And the band was a big part of the sound. People give them the short shaft.

It makes me so sad to think sublime would probably of made so much more music if Brad Nowell was still alive with Rome just isn't the same like many artists before him he was a depraved soul who left us far before his time RIP Brad Nowell

also Bug Gaugh was just as important as Brad . most people don't think about this but you can see how Brad and Bud were such a great musical combo.. even tho shit got crazy, Bud made the sound possible and he should get more credit... Brads genius overshadowed the band bc he was the front and we lost him way too soon
@the-engneer

No shit. Neither was I or any other opiate addict I've known, most of us would try to quit get a month clean or so. Plus it's a progressive disease. Some of us had years where we could control our usage then gradually it would get harder and harder to control. I had ten years of controlled using before I needed it all the time. I suspect Bradly was the same. When I saw Sublime play on this tour he didn't look strung out but that didn't mean he wasn't struggling, Nobody does heroin 24/7.

@sean2zero6 maybe for you....but not most people.....most people I know who smoke weed don't go onto heroin. I am a junkie, but blaming it on weed is just irresponsible. I choose to do it. If anything was a gateway, it was alcohol and stress from everyday life. Hope you can stop. I wish you all the best, and you and I can do it!

Man, that's the soriest shit I've ever heard. I love all the guys from Sublime to the core, but BAD Fish is one of many "tribute bands" that come through my town on regular basis to seemingly milk off what the REAL band had. Honestly I'd truely rather see The Long Beach All-Stars do something instead; seriously.
@tbone2872

Call your sponsor someone with good recovery should know that it's pointless to get into pissing contests and telling war stories with other addicts. Its not a contest. And you were the same one that told me to calm down. Besides there isn't a drug you mentioned that I didn't abuse either.

Why does every Sublime video end up being some big ass debate? If you have something negative to say then keep it the fuck to yourselves. Everyone keeps talkin about what Brad would've wanted. I'm pretty sure he didn't want everyone to ruin his music with negativity.
