Always loved the part around :40 when he just starts to really get in to it and when he's singing along the same notes he's playing. Bradley was one of a kind, such a shame his life came to an end so young..he still had a lot left to share with the world.
There's alot of ska, punk, and reggae influence in this band that they combined into one. Not a single person could pull it off better than they could. RIP Bradley and Lou Dog
This looks like it was at Old World in the Cave Room, I reconize the that stage and exit door behind it. If it is, I was there. From what I remember, he was hammered by the 5th song and couldn't finish the set... Rock-n-Roll !!! RIP Brad
its actually "sublime with rome" and they did change it out of respect. brad's wife did not want them to go by the sublime name without him, so they changed it to respect her wishes
you're right ruca. it is i won't give it up to u. in "caress me down" brad says he likes punk rock and reggae which would therefore be his influences. and there are def some hiphop influences like krs one and considering that they r from the LB
@staykoolinc they did. when they played at smokeout 09 they went on as "sublime" but later changed it to "sublime with rome" and it wasnt out of respect, brads old lady sued them so they had to change it
are we watching the same video? i thought his performace was great, that's just the way he is...anyway, definately my favorite sublime song, very underated
are they considered ska or reggae? i got in an argument. i say ska because they have a lot of punk in them. also anything reggae comes from ska so anything reggae would be ska. would do you think?
i want to know... when did Brad and Eric switch spots? lol what had to happen for them to say... alright and now we're gonna play like this from now on haha
nah, reggae definitely came from ska. just a little fact most people dont know. just do your research and you'll see the first wave of ska came well before reggae.
