Katy's been having a rough time lately and she needs Sublo and Tangy Mustard's help getting home after a picnic in High Park. The characters try to figure out where they're going in life. Also who's the guy with the beard? like is he one of Katy's friends or what?

Sublo and Tangy Mustard is an original web series created by Bojack Horseman and Tuca & Bertie director Aaron Long. It focuses on two best friends who work as mascots for a fast food restaurant called Subpar, who always stay in-character as Sublo the Hungry Submarine and Tangy Mustard the Sandwich Parrot.

@@dipinbk8852 Maybe regular show. Same concept of two dudes working at a low paying job. Of course regular show definitely gets more crazy around the end compared to this. Otherwise its definitely worth a watch.

Found this only one episode ago. There's something special and cool about this whole project. It has a realistic layer of lame that persists throughout people's 20's-30's, but it's all elevated and entertaining due to the overly expressive animation and characters that I hate to admit I relate to. Would love more Sublo and Tangy Mustard.

I love Katy's development, she started off as the straight man to the sublo and tangy mustard dynamic, but we were shown why she works at Subpar, why she's so annoyed with Tangy and Sublo, and why she's frustrated all the time, she's a struggling artist with low self-esteem that doesn't know what to do, god that fucking hurts, right on the aspirations man

thank you! she's been a really fun character to develop, and I think Heather does an amazing job playing her. When we started she was just supposed to be the snarky co-worker but she really brought a great sense of humour and an earnestness to the character that then informed the writing in later episodes, and is always fun to animate to. I'm excited for you to see what's coming up for Katy in the new episodes!

I still can't get over how well the escalator scene is animated. I've watched it so many times and it still amazes me. "Wrong way" "Whatever!"

The main thing I love about this series is how weird yet grounded it is Like yeah, some of the situations tangy and sublo find themselves in are nonsensical, but there's so much realness in it, and episodes like these really solidifies that

I just got into this show very recently, and it is some of the best original writing, humor, and animation I've seen in quite some time! I'll update my comment as a response after this premieres :) UPDATE: I LOVED IT XD There were some really deep moments in this, as well as the great humor as always. I really admire your blend of cartoony movement with subdued storytelling. A show like King of the Hill is great, but it can feel like it forgets it’s a cartoon in how mundane the character animation is. You have this kinetic energy to your characters that I haven’t seen elsewhere. A lot of shows can feel stiff, but this is so loose, yet clean. I’m rambling but your work is exploring untouched territory and I love it

I live in Toronto. That's where this show takes place. This is high park and I have to say it's dead accurate. This was drawn to actually look like the central area of High park. I've literally sat on the bench Katey fell off of. This is so cool! They even got the entrance to the park right with Keele Station and everything. So awesome watching this!

There are so many things about this series that make it great, like the animation style could look good on a cinema screen or a tiny android phone, the backgrounds feel weirdly beautiful and have really creative direction in how they're drawn. the voice acting and the characters are consistently really great to.

Just wanted to let you guys know that everyone's work on this turned out awesome and truly amazing, this show has been making me happy for so long, the comedic timing is great and the jokes are very well written. The show truly shines in its character interactions! (the fantastic voice acting is also adding to that) this finally gave me just what I was looking for in this show, some intimate person to person interactions between these characters. I truly hope that you continue with this in the future (I wouldn't mind waiting) It has such great rewatch value and the animation, backgrounds, and character designs are fantastic. I want everyone who worked on this to know that they did a stellar job! Thank you for making this :)

Honestly, what an amazing show. The writing is on point, the animation is lovely and charming, the backgrounds look authentically painted, the score is incredible, and the voice actors do such an amazing job breathing life into these characters. Conclusion: Way more than subpar.

The voice acting in this cartoon rivals that of shows with vastly greater budgets on streaming services and television. It really gives the impression that these characters are genuine people. I fucking love it.

I honestly don't agree with the opinion that this show should be up on places like netflix or adult swim. I feel most of its quality comes from Aaron having full control of his project.

Heh yeah that's always the tradeoff! I mean I'd love some proper funding and distribution but I think for a project like this I like having control over everything! I wish there was some middle ground between being totally independent and being corporate.

Best and most underrated animated series on RU-vid the quality of animation and production has increased amazingly and this season finale is as great as the entire series I really hope to see more Sublo and Tangy Mustard in the future and hopefully some deserved support for production feedback and such, this series deserves more recognition than is already getting
