Here at Hollywood Gatekeepers, we are building incredible relationships with other organizations that are interested in helping writers create screenplays that producers will love. The Austin Film Festival has a lot going on! First of all, they're making a trip to Los Angeles on April 29th! Secondly, they are very passionate about creating a positive experience for all of the people that enter their competitions. They have several categories for writers. The final deadlines to enter are in May! You can see how to submit a screenplay into their festival byaustinfilmfestival.com/submit/
They get A LOT of entries into their screenplay competitions. And they use a lot of readers to evaluate these screenplays! I am happy to say that many of our graduates are readers for the festival. Grace Donaldson, their Screenplay Competition Manager recently worked with our Screenreaders to up-level their participation in the festival.
I am so excited to share that Grace is now going to join me to talk to you!! I am going to interview Grace about the Austin Film Festival's approach to writing and finding screenplays as well what they look for in their readers. Grace really knows her stuff.
