I actually love how cool this is? Like you can see pieces of the cockpit glass and the hull fly off as it explodes, including the *entire fucking back end of the ship getting obliterated,* and then the huge amounts of steam from the ship cooling off in the water from the violent explosion it just suffered. And then it's like any other normal wreck, you can swim through it, maybe even get your shit from the lockers because the one we saw was still intact. I wonder if the cyclops fabricator still works.
William maybe try replacing the power cells and it might work. Also I like how the grow bed was charred from the explosion like it burned all the plants.
It would’ve made me pretty sad if it said goodbye or something, one of the only voices to hear, one of the only things looking out for you, even if it is just an automated voice on a big sub
I got to have the experience of not geting out fast enough after meeting the sea dragon for the first time I under estimated them a lot and were the only leviathan to take out one of my vehicles
@@cryticfoxfan7282 yea u right but what if it explode in the void (its less likely but one time a bug teleported my cyclop in the void) and my prawn was inside and I took it out but its wayyy to deep for me to get back in my cyclops hopefully I succeded but if I missed bye prawn suit (forgive my writing if its weird Im french)
@@lilsuperskurrphlex1838 but what's really the point of going to the void besides scanning the big ghost leviathans I see you had a bug that teleported your cyclops woops
If you guys don’t know, the cyclops voice got deeper when like the cyclops have some damaged things or on fire or even if he’s going to self destruct. :(
When i had a first encounter with a ghost leviathan (I went to the crater edge on accident) the second i saw it i turned off my engine and it didn't attack me. It just circled my cyclops. After waiting for it to go away i enabled silent running and tried to get away but it got a bite out of my cyclops. I went outside to repair the breach. I stunned the ghost leviathan with my stasis rifle and scanned it then i repaired the breach and got out of there as fast as i could go.
Ah yes, I remember moving to and transferring my home and materials to the Giant Cove Tree with the cyclops. Hull was damaged, warpers wouldn't leave me alone, the ghost didn't like me, it was flooding, batteries kept dying, and everything was ON FIRE. I do not recommend
When I make the 3rd cyclops depth module, I was making my way to the lost river, where my recharge base is, and it randomly caught on fire. I put it out, but the air scrubbers didn’t activate. I put out the other fires, then I got a damage report. After a few more going back, and forth, I went out and fixed the vessel. I thought it was a ghost leviathan. When the cyclops was mere minutes from exploding, I remembered I didn’t put the upgrade in! At the same time, I ran out of fire extinguishers. I had metal salvage in a locker though. I made the fire extinguisher, and put out the fires, fixed my vessel, and that is how I almost lost my cyclops out of stupidity.
I think something cool would be that if you exit the Cyclops before it explodes, it uses the same voiceline that it does here, counting down to detonation* but if you stay inside, going down with the ship, it instead goes "...Farewell, Captain." before exploding. *I have a theory about this, since it's. very difficult if not nigh-impossible to have an accurate countdown to failure. I have a theory that the Cyclops would have naturally exploded a few seconds _after_ it actually does in-game. It actually has a system to predict the rough time it'd fail, considering it clearly has an AI that could do that calculation, before setting the countdown to a point a couple seconds before the estimated time. This way, it can manually open all the breaches, basically release all the locks and systems holding back failure. This way it gives an accurate countdown to its own death, so that if someone exits the Cyclops, it counts down, and if it doesn't detonate on zero, they won't try to swim back to it to see what happened and potentially get caught in a later-than-expected explosion.
I just got my cyclops and went to the floating islands then I got lost until I ended up at the front of the auora and out of no where the reaper takes 75% of its health.. I tried to put out all the fire... but I thought I did and I went to the front to see where the fire is (note: I didn’t know how to get rid of the smoke) and all of a sudden I look towards the end of the ship (since all the door are open) and I see an explosion at the very end.. it explodes from the back to the front one explosion by the other it reaches the front and I die... (also I lost my pawn suit that I got the same day) I feel dead inside...
The reason I would not do it is because it's just too scary like expecting nothing to come at you but then when you look away for one second and turn back a Reaper Leviathan is just right there waiting to scare you
I wish we could fine one of these crashed by Degasi or something to get not only a pda but also the blueprint databox for the cyclops on board. However it would be kinda deep and maybe in an area where there's a few reapers.
@@DeadAntGaming The truck was more of a train which would be really cool if you could build tracks for faster direct travel, even if the tracks are pre-determined Death Stranding-style.
@@bleedthesecolours that's a good idea, that would have given the truck an actual benefit over the Cyclops. Combining the Sea Moth and Cyclops ended up with something inferior to both
My cyclops got destroyed because those stinking ghost leviathans, the whole cyclops was leaking and i could barely even see, i had no other choice but to abandon ship I thought i could save the cyclops by repairing but it was too late
My cyclops got attacked by the ghost leviathan to the point where it was about to explode, for some reason the audio was bugged and I could only hear the last two seconds before explosion instead of five, forcing me to instantly sit in the prawn suit and drop down the moment it explodes.
I think the confusion is that Red Alert sounds a lot like Abandon Ship, possibly due to the fact that Abandon Ship could be a mix between Into The Unknown and Red Alert.
Ok it is broken and all, but can we appreciate the fact that it doenst despawn? Now is like one of those broken ships you sometime find, i love the fact that it add a cool aesthetic to your place, and lets be honest, it is not that big of a deal to rebuild that
might be pretty cool if they added couple of features tho. 1st: dont let the destroyed cyclops despawn 2nd: destroyed cyclops should be able to be recycled to get some materials back.
But also imagine that after your first cyclops sinks, you are given a special blueprint that you can build onto your base allowing you to make a memorial for all of your lost vehicles
Putting a power cell charger in the cyclops, so you can use the power from power cells to charge up power cells is the most Subnautica thing I have ever seen
