It is jarring. Not a minecraft player, but I love these builds and though I don't understand much, I can see how shaders give the game a different look and touch. It be nice if they could add the rougher details yet keep it just as smooth, like imagine the moss cobblestone blocks with the cobble looking rough and dirty contrasting with the touches of moist soft moss.

I believe its mostly the rtx, since there isnt any depth to the blocks the light just treats all the surfaces like there really flat and smooth, as if theyre marble or something. when they should have some "noise" to help defuse the light abit

RTX is insane. Although some blocks need to be adjusted for it, for example the sand isn't supposed to be so shiny and glossy.

and also grass, cobblestone, dirt, wood, coarse dirt, grass path, stone, and all commonsensical rough rugged textured blocks. Though from afar, it looks much better, maybe mainly because of the lighting and shading, which fits best for megastructures and landscape sceneries.

I think what makes TrixyBlox different from the other builders is the way he makes sure his builds are alive. He thinks about the perspective of a normal minecraft player and adds thinks like chests, carts and lampposts. This is what makes him special. The attention to the smallest details.

For that castle I woulda just used smooth sandstone/end stone bricks. That wouldn’t look as good as stripped birch, but castles are built for defense, not for looks.

I like how u said that u wanted to keep it practical and therefore made the windmill, but like wheat fields right next to the sea doesn't make to much sense as the salt water would mess up the land and make it harder for plants to grow there. Still looks really cool tho

I really think for the village and castle it’d be nice to add the brick block in the roof with the dark oak trim because I feel like the brick in the original build made it that much more unique. As a perfectionist, I shiver at the sight of that multiblock wrong-angled road with different height map. It's somehow even more irritating than people going into caves with no torches. And even people jumping over lava with pockets full of first diamonds. It makes me wanna mine ALL this road and fill it with bricks or something.

Exactly! He praised how the build used an uncommon palette for medieval builds, and then went and used the most basic palette for his version! He should have at least kept the red roofs, those were very interesting and contributed a lot to the vibe of the castle and town. Obviously a very nice looking build, but kind of butchered the personality of it.

the main castle used the sandstone, sand and stripped birch wood feature which was the majority of what had been made on that guys world, remember the guys world before was much smaller due to Trixy using world edit and making the world much larger, in comparison to the guys 2 islands.

The stone on midevil castles was traditionally covered in a mortar/clay mixture giving a smoother appearance of light tan. The castles that still exist today are actually ruins that are missing their exterior sheething of you will. So, this build is actually more accurate in exterior design.

after reading the comments ,,,,, yes a tutorial on how you use world edit would be a great video of some of the complicated things like when you reshape the landscape in sand and change it to a mottled grass, dirt and coarse dirt. I have played with it some but not to the ability you have ..... please do a video on this

RAZER HEADPHONES ARE AMAZING AF. I didn't think brand made much of a difference but that rumble feature really made it worth the money. Creepers now scare tf outta me more than usual. This was my Tedtalk.

It looks amazing as all you do... But I think the village turned out a little bit flat, maybe it comes from taste as I like the idea of following the ground shape to create a dynamic... But again: awesome

!! maybe on the castle the oak could be changed to stripped oak to blend better, and it doesnt stand out so much.

He builds very very crazy and nice, but when he presents the precastle without and his with a shader it is clear, that it looks way better. But nice build at All:)

Anyone can instantly make their builds look badass by adding shaders. Shaders makes everyone 10x better.

Yeah. The before and after is scuffed. he just shows a regular picture for the before. In the after he adds shaders and tries to make the camerawork look good. I was looking forward to this video but I really don't feel like watching it anymore.
