I know that this is picky. But I wish people would realize that brides come in all ages, cultures, styles and have different tastes. Not every bride wants pink and white cutesy, cursive bRiDe on everything. Some brides are older, or more masculine, etc.
Not picky! It’s true. This country is much more varied than what the white male advertisers and hollywood, represent in the media inc. wedding media. It’s awful and I hate it.
To be very honest, some of these products make me eye-roll a tad, but I'll watch regardless due to the unparalleled energy of you, Jamie. So fun to watch!
Can you do a video about the replacement rings you wear? I'd love to hear about their quality, where they're from, etc. The one you're wearing in this video is gorgeous
I get the Miss to Mrs boxes - I do a quarterly subscription (2 year engagement). The boxes do come in themes... example, I had one dedicated to working out - and my last one was geared towards honeymoon! 😮 I enjoy/use 75% of the items. Most of the fun is just getting the box in the mail and the surprise of what’s inside.
I got engaged a month ago and have been watching your channel for a year now. So excited and it’s perfect timing since I just bought a Miss to Mrs package. Great review!
I have the 1st countdown calendar from Miss to Mrs and did not realize you were supposed to fold that bit down on the bottom. I've just been leaning it against stuff. lol
I love the idea of subscription boxes but I’m not impressed by any of the wedding ones. However, there are monthly subscription boxes for small plants, candles, beauty products, lingerie and toys. Those I AM very interested in!
Been engaged for two years and originally planned for March 2022, when covid started we decided to postpone planning, and now we're expecting baby #2; so elopement is more along the lines of what we're looking at.
I love that this is available for the future brides who likes this style with lots of pink and sparkle - but that is not the only type of bride out there.. personally after seeing the video i couldnt even teĺl them appart because it all looks the same.. and it makes me so sad.. why cant i get a product like this where there is no pink or stereotypical "girly" colors and worst of all if you ask me - having every single item absoluteley coverd in cheesy sayings and words just makes everything so cringe.. yes i am in my engagement period but no i dont want everything coverd with the word bride og mrs. because of it - I so Hope that someone one day makes a box for the edgy, colorful, vintage, nerdy and atypical brides in the world that dont fit the stereotype that i feel these boxes tend to put brides in.. because i love the concept and I wish that i could get one that speaks to me aestetically so that i could enjoy these fun boxes too 😞😓
So exciting! I got the Miss to Mrs Box, but I've eyed the other ones a few times here and there. Heads up y'all: the pens and the tumbler from the first M2M box suck across the board lol. Everyone in the wedding fbook groups loathes them. 😂
I bought a 9 month subscription to miss to mrs and loved it. They have specific boxes for bridal shower, Bachelorette party, week of wedding, day of wedding and honeymoon!
I feel you, I found her channel around three years ago. I managed to break up with the guy I was with back then and find a better partner... still not engaged but I just love her!
Not sure if you could do this but if you could order the subscription boxes yourself (pay for it yourself) instead of using the ones sent to you. I have noticed that many subscription companies send more products and better products to influencers and us regular folks get disappointed when ours arrives. Loved the video though!
My coworkers bought me a 6 month subscription for the Ring Box as a birthday/engagement gift! I got a lot of the same stuff you did but mine mainly said Mrs. on them (tumbler, keychain, hat) so they will last me longer! I guess not all boxes will be the same! Just putting it out there!
I actually ended up going with the Maeven box over Miss. to Mrs. To me it was a little more refined and had more items that would continue to be useful after the wedding...aka no writing or if there was writing on them it was Mrs. or wife on them over a lot of Bride writing lol. It was nice to see what the other boxes offer!!
I wouldn't buy these personally. I definitely think the concept is fun, but I've never found a box that actually seems to be worth the price. Not only does all of these boxes seem very young and girly, the stuff inside looks cheap. I mean, there is no way the stuff in these boxes are worth $100 which they claim on their sites.
Just ordered my box from MissToMrs! Was going to use your code Jamie but right now they have a 50% for the first box with code FREE! Get yours ladies !!
I literally just sat down with a beautiful glass of Finger Lakes Cab Franc and loved every second!!!! I laughed my a$$ off when you dropped and “broke” what was in the box. Definitely want to pursue the something new bridal box! Super cute and super fun way to experience and enjoy the very moment I’ve waited and dreamt my whole girly life for!!!
I LOVED this video! This is my second time watching it because I wanted to double check what was in the boxes again :) Thank you! I don’t feel like it’s an ad and even if it was, you gotta make money! 🥳 Go girl! 🎉
Darn!! I got so excited about the Something New Bridal Box, but the day-of box is on their website for $89.99 and the Just engaged collection is sold out. That one was originally $129.99! They did Mark it down to $54.99. Dang, I’m bummed about that Day- of box. I’m not saying it isn’t worth the cost, but it’s more than stated and out of my budget for fun extras.
You can actually subscribe and get all of the boxes for $44.95 and request which boxes you will get, including the day of and just engaged boxes. And you can cancel anytime with no cancellation fee :)
My fiancé gifted me with the entire set of Ms. to Mrs. I loved opening every box and have used quite a few of the items. Especially the bridal shower box. I definitely recommend it! We also gifted my sister with a set as she's getting married a few months after us.
I was honestly wondering if these boxes were worth it before this video so I was really happy when I saw you review these. It was very helpful! Thanks !
My fiance considered buying me one of these for my bday but then started looking into it and realized that these were not at all my style. He actually made his own (I'm not supposed to know he made it, he told me he ordered it from etsy) and he puts things like coffee, chocolate, canned wine, face masks, personalized bookmarks, a t shirt I wear at home, candles, and all stuff he knows I love. Im a very lucky girl but for anyone who wants something different, I would suggest etsy for bridal boxes that aren't so stereotypical.
This might be a tough question but I lost my mother to cancer last year and am getting married in 2023 and I wondered, seeing as your videos are so comprehensive, do you have videos regarding not having a parent or parents being there. Thank you!
I know this is different from your usual content, but I enjoyed seeing the boxes. It is a nice option for a gift for engaged couples. You only get married once (maybe more), but you'll know a lot of people who might enjoy this box as a gift.
I really love these boxes! A lot of people in the comments are hating on them but hey, if you don't like it, don't buy it. These companies are still staying afloat cause people are buying them. By saying these are bad and tacky, and saying things like pink is childish, you are being rude to the customers who like them. Don't demean other people's choices. Also yeah I get that these can be used only once mostly but as the years pass, you will look upon these as a memory. If you are looking for your own unique taste and colors, then put together a bridal box yourself. I would love to buy one of these but yeah too expensive for my country's currency. But I do believe giving a wider range of items is important to sustain a business. A lot of these boxes give the same things. How about giving a soothing candle and aromatherapy oil to be stress-free? That would put them ahead of competitors. Placing some bath bombs, hygiene sets like shaver/wax strips, soap, toothpaste, and a toothbrush and a comb would be really nice too. After a long day washing up would be easier if these were on hand. That would be a nice box. Be it for bride or groom! A unisex box ^^
They should have more gender neutral or combined wedding boxes. I wouldn’t use half the stuff so if there’s a chance my husband would use something I would for sure order one!
I liked seeing what was in the boxes, as I am a Covid bride to be and have no idea when we would set a date I have been thinking of ordering one. I was thinking of the miss to mrs box because it’s got the best reviews. And I would say it lived up to the hype, but I think I will now go for the ring box and order a mr box too. Now that I think of it it would be great for our 5 year anniversary this year in august.
Fun video! I just got engaged and love subscription boxes so I was researching some of these :) but I didn't want to end up with plastic Bride things that I would want to give away in a year. So I DIY'd a bridal box for myself, found a canadian company and just bought the cube robe and diamond pen from them, excited to just get things I know I will use! I'm not much of a ring selfie person haha
Thanks for the code Jamie! Used the code saved $22.50 & ordered something new box! I’ll let you know! I ordered 3 month subscription & I’m a newly engaged bride to be. Engaged in nov 20 married in may 22!
I concur with the majority of these comments. Although I'm always thrilled to have gifts in the mail, it does not make sense to buy these items for such a short period of your life. I think it makes more sense to just buy these individual items yourself if you really want them.
I’m newly engaged and getting married in February 2025 in Ontario Canada and I’ve been wanting to get a subscription box and I’m so happy I found this video
I’d really like to see a review of paper wedding planners now that you got one! I never know what to expect with those and whether they’re really worth it.
Fun video! About to get married in June so this is a little late for me but loved watching it! Also my friend learned in business school that people like things in sets of 3 or 10 so you aren’t weird at all!
I can only imagine the landfills after everyone who gets these boxes isn’t engaged anymore😬 Such a terrible idea to buy products for such a short period of your life
This video was super helpful! If you could do more comparison videos that would be awesome! I’d love a comparison of the different platforms to build a wedding website from. I don’t know how to determine which one is the best for my fiancé and I.
I did the ring box and was pretty disappointed I got a lot of repeat items and never got the theme they had for the month. I did a full year of it. It was fun at first but I wouldn’t get it again
We got engaged in September 2019 and wanted to enjoy being engaged and the holidays and then start planning in January...end then the world shut down in March. Still trying to figure our what to do.
Hadn’t heard of Something New Bridal Box! Really bummed the code Jaime provided above doesn’t work 😔 Really enjoying my Miss to Mrs and look forward to saving some things for my someday future daughter.❤️Plus my sister will most likely be next to get married and she’d love all of this.
Jamie, My wedding isn’t until 08/2022 do you know if the something borrowed box is changing every month or would it repeat after a year? I’m trying to figure out if I need to wait until I’m a year out to purchase the subscription.
I want to start with in no way do I blame Jaime for this. I ordered a something new bridal box based on this video because I wanted the planner and when I went to the website though for a little bit more I will treat myself to the Just Engaged Box. The path I followed on the Website was Shop All > Just Engaged Box > Subscribe and save. From this point I checked out, the code listed in this video didn't work but I still ordered it. I did NOT get the Just Engaged Box. I contacted customer service who instead of trying to remedy the situation just told me that I didn't order it correctly and that is not how their website works. I canceled my subscription. Order at your own risk because their website is misleading and customer service is atrocious. Again I do not blame Jamie for any of this.
These are cute/fun but at a time when I'm trying to save money and stressing about my wedding budget this is an extra expense I can't justify especially every month
Just think about how you’ll feel about these items in your home in 5 years (or even 2 months after the wedding)! You’re making the right choice :) I enjoy watching them and maybe if there’s one or two cute items like the tote bag I might *consider* buying it on Etsy or something
I got my Something new box yesterday. While the quality of what is inside is good, I was a bit underwhelmed. The packaging was everything literally crammed into a box and they sent the fitness box first. While I am a fit freak it was a weird first choice. I was looking forward to getting some wedding planning stuff, not more workout stuff. Probably going to cancel my subscription
I'll be honest, I don't totally get the point. It's just more pointless stuff that ain't going to be relevant once you've got married. Super wasteful. The more I think about things, the more I think elopements for me.
