kpop choreographers pay attention to detail and i LOVE IT. some choreos look so mesmerizing to watch, and i think that’s such a plus when watching performances. seriously more respect needs to be put on their name
i see many people talking about it already but i will say it too: your editing is so so good!! so perfect!!! and i just love your videos in general, there aren't that many but i really appreciate how different your approach is in contrast to most kpop youtubers. you're simply talking about what you love in kpop, just pure hype, and your enthusiasm is so infectious, your videos just make me really happy and excited!
To be honest, This is probably my most favorite kpop compilation channel. The edits, the accuracy, the creator's taste is just chef's kiss! I've been here since the First Anti-Drop video and have been following it since. I love your videos and I'm hoping to see more of your wondeful content in the near Future! Lovelots from your solid viewer❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
To think that Yena actually made that choreo section by herself is something amazing. "Take on me" was definitely the most iconic part that she has created up till now, I cannot wait to see Yena on stage again and the new stuff that she is going to come up with in the future
UGHHHH ty for talking about that specific part in Hyunjin's Motley Crew dance because it makes me scream EVERY time i watch it. It's so subtle yet is just the icing on the cake of the whole dance 4:23
subtle choreos are extra satisfying when its used with hard hitting steps. like one second theyre going full on energy and the next theyre suddenly chill, its the contrast that matters !! personally, when it comes to these types of dances seventeen always nails it, its like their brand atp. theyre masters with contrast. its what makes dont wanna cry, home, oh my, etc. so satisfying to watch cos of the subtle choreo that looks so good when executed well in the choreography. edit: also, they mostly do a variety of subtle movements. the particular moves mentioned in the video are the slow chill ones but "subtle" can also be small hand or leg movements that are hard to catch but gives a satisfying effect when done synchronized
Exactly!! Most of their choreos are extremely detailed and u can only notice the detail in their dance practice videos which why IVE BEEN SAYING THEIR DANCE PRACTICES NEED A WHOLE SEPERATE FANDOM NAME😭😭😭 recently even in Hot, which is such a power packed choreo, the hook step is the slow body roll and they have a bunch of chest popping and hip thrusting sprinkled in it too. Its so perfect cuz the "face the sun" part choreo which comes right after "hot, hot, hot" is so INTENSE and energetic!
Jeez, you are really meant to be a KTuber! Your analysis doesn't have that tinge of snootiness & your editing (visuals & audio) show that you aren't settling for a downloaded of a pre-existing MV/Live Performance & Google slides (not that that style can't be appealing). Your content from the first Anti-drop video is always so interesting & addicting to watch. I cannot wait for more, but will always be content rewatching content until that next video appears.
here are some subtle cheoreo moments i can think of (also some of these are anti-drops, so the impact is even stronger): 2PM - Make It (chorus) CIX - Movie Star (chorus but the footwork is the same as Fiction) Hyo - Dessert (chorus) Zico - Any Song (chorus, mainly the tiktok with Chungha cuz the energy control is fantastic) Apink - Dumduhrum (chorus) VIXX - Scentist (pre-chorus and N's wrist sniff/kiss + chorus' "neol neol neol neol") AKMU Suhyun - Alien (the part after THE highnote, the hand thingy) Chungha - Gotta Go (chorus) Moonbyul - Eclipse (the " phantom" part in the lyrics) Super Junior - Black Suit (the neck move in the chorus) Dreamcatcher - BEcause (chorus, especially the doll-like side nod) GOT7 - You Calling My Name (chorus + post-chorus) Purple Kiss - Zombie (the freeze-and-bounce in the chorus) SF9 - Now or Never (chorus and Hwiyoung OWNS it + Chani's part right after) WOODZ - Love Me Harder (opening verse shoulder move + post-chorus) Seventeen - Clap (chest pump in chorus 2) Hoshi - Spider (chorus but entire cheoreo actually, subtle moves sprinkled throughout) Pentagon - Dr. BeBe (first post-chorus) WOODZ - Feel Like (chorus ; honorable mention : the dance break and dAT SOULFULLY AROUSING ELEC. GUITAR) Moon Jongup - US (pre-chorus + chorus) SuJu - 2YA2YAO (post-chorus when they all move as one unit) ONEUS - Black Mirror (chorus) JUS2 - Focus on Me ENHYPEN - Let Me In (chorus body roll) and last but not the least... the legendary... Sunmi - Gashina
WHAT. IS. THIS. EDITING. OH MY GOD???? THE TRANSITIONS BETWEEN THE SONGS ARE LITERALLY SO SMOOTH AND FOR WHAT??!!!! subscribing to this channel is one of the few things I don't regret
i also really love seventeens subtle move in “hit” in the second chorus when they have a hand on their ear and the other going from top to bottom. also goldenchilds chorus choreography in wannabe when they throw their arm up before the chorus starts
Your editing is exceptional like it’s so subtle how you transition from one clip to another and it barely even feels like we’re watching something different but at the same time, we actually are. You deserve a lot of appreciation. Keep up the great work!
I was never into IZ*ONE when they were a group but seeing Yena’s part in Panorama makes me wish I was. It wasn’t just the neck movement, but how she also dropped her arms with the subtle lean back. It’s just 😚🤌🏾
I’m so happy you included some lesser known groups. Thank you for bringing more recognition to Loona and Dreamcatcher. When you have a conversation about choreography, they should always be included.
other edits would annoy me if they had small comments, but the way this was made and the small subtle "bounce bounce" texts along with the movement + commentary is so good!!! thank u also A+++ on the selection of songs and specific dance moves!!!
EYO??? YOUR EDITING IS SO GOOD. transitions between songs are straight up soap, first to cherry bomb and fl!pping a coin to panorama was so sick wtfff and the format for the 2nd gen bit was (chef's kiss) ALSO THE WII EDIT BAHAHAHA
hyunjin's DROP and SMIRK in playing with fire?? incredible. and then he did it again in motley crew except this time he does this little head shake like he's reminding himself that he's not an evil villain? chef's kiss.
Idk if you would call it really subtle, but maybe my favorite Kpop choreography moment is in Taemin’s Criminal where he throws his head back while doing one of his spins. It’s at 3:19 in the music video. *UGH* it’s so good it gets me every time.
when i was rewatching this, i remembered a 2nd gen move that i love sm - the little neck move in the first verse of step by kara. like they're all standing in front of mics and while jiyoung sings, the rest of them are just moving their necks and i find it so addictive !! one of my favourite covers of step was in idol school :") sadly none of the girls debuted (lee sian ate that performance tho)
When Everglow "slapped" that screen in "First" I was like "YASSS, this is the level of aggression that is needed for the beat and lyrics. Own that!" It was so satisfying to watch Mia hit that and tick with the 3 beats right after (it looks more impacting when her hair is out of braids because you can actually see her hit the beats right after that slap move).
i really love tons of sutble/obscure choreo moments in yezi's "mimew" ! if you haven't seen, highly reccomend, im sure if our kpop brains are as similar as they've been so far, you'll see what i mean
your editing skills are TOP TIER! i gasped at how smooth that transition from flipping a coin to panorama was! also your choices are amazing, it is fun to see how tricky and subtle some moves can be! also for the bouncy move in first, i would add that the footwork right before they fall into the bounce gives an intense feeling. they go strong and then transition fully to the bouncy, swag-y style giving a laidback sass to it.
YAY MY BOYS BEAST. Their "penguin dance" took over Korea like a storm lol. Loved this whole compilation. I'm glad I'm not the only one being in Gahyeon's chokehold XD
when i hear subtle choreo my mind always instantly goes to moonbin & sanha bad idea chorus - THE SHOULDER MOVE together with that beat drop is the sole reason i'm still alive.. it's GIVING
as someone who loves dancing, these kind of dance moves are my favorite to do. the first choreography is one of my fav choreos to do for fun. the same with gashina & cherry bomb
8:52 absolutely one of my favorite things about sunmi choreos- the guys are doing the exact same movements as the girls. its not just super feminine moves for the girls and super masculine moves for the guys its a MIX of the guys and gals doing ALL THE MOVES TOGETHERRRR 📣‼‼ makes me feral
LOONA SATELLITE with the drop at kim lip's part where they all drop low along with the tune of the music it blew away people's minds when it first released! LOONA COLORS with the hand movements in the beginning, no body movements at all, they're standing completely still and it's just their hands and fingers moving like a flight of butterflies! and again LOONA SATELLITE with right before the second chorus, where they all just pause and do a flipping gesture with their hands in 2 beats so they can smoothly go into the chorus instead of raising their hands directly. RED VELVET PEEKABOO during the bridge when wendy sings, they stand still and move their hands in a way that it looks like their arms are stretching out to the opposite side (it's hard to explain, it should be watched) STRAY KIDS GOD'S MENU when jisung is rapping in the beginning and the entire chorography has been hectic from the get go but then they stop and make a slicing gesture with their hands subtly swinging back and forth and then 'taste' with their fingers.
ur editing is srsly so fun n makes ur videos so entertaining to watch n a cut above most other kpop youtubers rn. if u ever do a pt.3 idk if it'd count but the 4walls chorus always stood out to me as being so elegant, especially the mirror mirror part.
never know if you'll make a part 3 but the betterment of your life brave girl's "flushing an old fashion toilet move" from their song deepened will rock ur world LOL. it's how they refer to the move also and it happens right at the beginning of the song and is sprinkled at the end of the chorus!! i love that move so much i will die by it.
NCT has too manyyyyyy choreos that actualy SLAPS like the most iconic i have i mind and that i’ll never forget will be 7th Sense it’s an Insane choreo to debut with 💀
These slow and "easy-to-follow" moves actually make you pay more attention to the preciseness, appreciate the music production and highlights the whole energy of the song... ... ABSOLUTELY SATISFYING 😌💅
I’d also like to mention the part in Drunk-Dazed where they go “dazed, dazed, dazed” and just kind away around! It’s really cool and it such a shift from the otherwise really striking choreo of the chorus
First of all, I adore the editing in your videos they are so fun to watch! And that seamless transition from song to song??? Are you some kind of wizard??? Second, one subtle choreography that I've been obsessed with is in BTOB's Outsider right when they go 'I wanna be an outsideeerrrr' with the hand flick and the kind of shuffle turn they do plus the other hand in the pocket ugh I love it!
Thank you for bringing up Brown eyed girls!! They were the Queens of that subtle movement dance. Oh man, it's still so good! And Beast's Fiction. Ahh! Love being a 2nd gen fan.
The up and down like a roller coaster in "going crazy" by exo and the chanyeol's rap part when they cross their hands in "ooh la la" and the step they do at o-o-o-o in the same song 🤣. They give me the same feels as these choreos.
