;w; I would cry if it is canon. If Emmet tried to get Ingo back, those kids may never have been born. If they are, Ingo probably left someone he was with and child back then. That sounds like a lot of inner struggle to deal with if you want your family back.

@@blueember5991 the manga tends to pile on a bit more savagery overall than the rest of the Pokémon franchise so I’m less inclined to think it’s accurate to them and more an exaggeration.

@@Jessica_Schweseryou named them I’ll story them. Ingrid and Emmy were born from a one night stand from Ingo and a (totally not) descendant of the leader of the pearl clan (I forgor her name). They are twins like Ingo and Emmet and lost their mom in a car accident. Their mom couldn’t get Ingo’s number so he couldn’t learn that he had daughters. Ingrid and Emmy usually go to anville town to visit the grave of their mother. Would adopt 1000000/10.

I’m 9 months late but basically some Pokémon gen have a battle facility where you fight powerful trainers that go by a different set of rules(some carrying legendaries). In Black and White that was the Battle Subway, where if you won 20 fights you got to fight one or both of the twins(Ingo, one in black, if you fought single battles. Emmet, one in white, if you fought double battles. And both of you fought multi battles, though this is memed because Ingo Ai likes using earthquake with Haxorus even when Emmet has elektross out(mold breaker bypassing levitate) so he tends to kill Emmet’s mons more than yours. Emmet has Durant, Archeops, Galvantula, and his ace is Elektross. Ingo has Excadrill, Crustle, Garbodor, Klingklang, Haxorus, and his ace is Chandelure. Despite having minor roles Japan voted them as the 3rd(Emmet) and 2nd(Ingo) best characters in Gen 5 right behind N because they REALLY respect trains. The anime and manga would later establish their personalities more. The anime had them as some of the strongest trainers you could have the honor of fighting as well as having a friendship with another Unovan character, Cilan. Tha manga is where they basically got their personalities though. Ingo was depicted as a friendly and knowledgeable man who cannot smile to save his life(he literally smiles upside down) while Emmet walks like a solider or toy robot, getting incredibly excited over double battles that he will almost run you over(and has to be dragged back by the collar by Ingo), is incredibly blunt to the point of accidentally being mean(these signs along with some ill mention later leads people to agree that at least Emmet is autistic coded if not both of them), and the two being basically champion level trainers(their theme in Gen 5 is literally Alder’s theme)

After a while though he didn’t get anything from them besides a little merch and a couple mentions of the Subway in later generations. Then Masters XD came along and ended up adding them in along with two storylines. More of their personality was established like Ingo speaking like he’s trying to fill the word count of an essay and apparently wasn’t aware till then that he never smiles(their expressions are for a couple reasons. One is comedy and tragedy masks but also an up arrow and a down arrow like their names Nobori and Kudari. Also their outfits are hung Yang in reference to the Gen 5 legendaries, which is also why Ingo ace is a fire type and Emmet’s is an electric type) while Emmet scripts his dialogue, tends to say “I am Emmet” even when you are deep into conversation already, says very as verrrrry, and is less talkative unless it’s things that interest him like trains, double battles, or his brother. In their main storyline Ingo wants to makes a battle station in Pasio after hearing after an abandoned railway there so Emmet drops everything he planned on doing to help Ingo get that goal. He even offers to work in the mines so Clay’s crew can finish faster and the twins can get the rights to the area(with Ingo deciding to help him since he doesn’t want him to do it alone). This storyline also proves they are not only on the level of the protagonist, but even on the level of characters like Wally and Cynthia in terms of battling. Their other storyline had them play the Mad Hatter in fancy suits where they owned an Escaliver and Accelgor they confirmed they got from trading with each other(and where Emmet too eager to drop Mimikyus on our heads). As you talk with Emmet more, by the way, he reveals things that make him even more of a wholesome brother. He smiles to encourage others to do the same and he takes any opportunity to boast about his brother(saying things like he rarely loses and that things are always fun when they’re together) which are both sweet and sad foreshadowing. And now the big part. In Legends Arceus we learn that years before we arrive(the art book says “xx years” so it’s been at least a decade. I guess 12 since that’s around the age of Black and White 2) Ingo was transported from Unova hundreds of years into the past where he proceeded to lose his memories. Because of his abilities with pokemon, he was taken in by the Pearl Clan and made Sneasler’s warden. In the post game we runs the training grounds where you have different options to battle people including him or do the path of solitude where a lone Pokémon of your choosing battles a Pokémon with the type advantage. However, while we really just has one section of the main game, people flocked to his story. While in the caves, he struggles to remember his past but faintly remember “a precious partner who wielded flames with mastery” and “a man who looked like me,” even remembering Emmet’s quote(I like winning more than anything) but not able to remember his name or even that Emmet said it. He concluded “even if the memories themselves are faded, much still lives on in my heart.” He later faintly remembers that humans and Pokémon work in unison in the future and makes it his goal to spread Pokémon bonds and battles throughout the land. However, he neither regains his memories nor returns home by the end of Arceus, leading people to demand a Dlc or sequel that gives him his happy ending. There’s also the matter of Emmet who, while we haven’t seen his side yet, everyone assuming he’s not taking it well(some speculate he will travel back in time to rescue him, maybe even becoming the twins in the Gen 5 myth. Others believe he will be the next villian, join the Police Interpol, or even become champion to be able to find more evidence of where Ingo went)

Ingo is one of the two Subway Masters from Pokemon Black and White who run a Battle Facility called the Battle Subway, the other Subway Master being his Twin Emmet. They are in a sense like Gym Leaders but not at the same time. Both very powerful trainers who you get to battle multiple times both together and separate. They also appear in Black and White 2 with the same roles as before.
