Emerald Hollow Mine is located in Hiddenite, North Carolina. It is a unique area that offers the opportunity to dig for naturally formed crystals found throughout the property, a creek that you can sift through, or if you prefer to take home non native material they have many bucket options to choose from with several sluice areas to clean what you find. They also supply buckets and shovels for those that want to dig but didn't or couldn't bring any tools.
This was our third time visiting Emerald Hollow Mine and we were not expecting to find a lot based on our previous visits but we weren't ready to give up! Especially when they are offering a free dig day. I'm sure you can imagine how excited we were when we started finding crystals! We are so glad we didn't give up and feel like we will do even better on our next visit! Thanks for joining us and we hope to see you out there!
