A momento - A keep sake - a gift. What is the point?

Anchoring memories and feelings and a reminder of what was and what can be.

I'm not one to wear jewelry, don't have any tattoo's (yet) but a simple piece of copper wire that got folded into a ring
has quickly become my largest reminder of who I showed up to be in this world.

Love, thoughtfulness, connection without the pretentiousness or expectations.
True contribution for the sake of making someone happy.

Over the last few 6 years i've battled with the difference between success and fulfillment.
It has cost me loved ones, often left me feeling alone, tired and unworthy.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Chasing success ultimately means putting your happiness in the hands of others - always measuring and stressing about "achieving"
Fulfillment comes from the inside out - and through that, you can inspire others to live their truth.

Waking up truly happy with the effort you are putting in daily far exceeds trying to externally feel validated through some version of success.

The pressure of trying to be perfect while we are just on a ride of trying to improve ourselves.
Especially with social media and all of us now forced to be influencers, leaders, mothers, fathers, inspirations to the world

Over the last 2 months i've made some radical changes to my life to better myself and get a clean start.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Along the way I cut some of the closest people around me so deeply out of my own stress and insecurity and emotional up and downs.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For that I ask forgiveness - I love you guys and I was just doing my best.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We're not all perfect - but we do need reminders of how we acted / who we were and who we strive to be.

This ring is one of those anchors for me.
Im grateful for the lessons and hold this ring as a reminder of second chances and the ability to change.
