This is really a discussion about public vs private education, and has les to do with effectiveness and teaching methods. Montessori schools are part of the private education industry. When you have rich parents or professors as parents, your life is already significantly different from other kids. Montessori does not prepare you for academics. It prepares you only up to the mid-school level aka up to 9th class meaning basic algebra, so if you want to learn calculus, that is required for traditional STEM courses in university, you will probably need to look for another school or learn it yourself. The task of traditional education is to prepare a large group of children to become well rounded in many fields, so that they can adapt to changes in the job market and decide what they want to become. American public education has been destroyed by defunding and capitalistic publishing industry, that puts profit over education, that it is soo bad, that almost any other system looks like a better solution. It does not mean that public education is bad, it's just American public education.

Why is it that in Italy where Montessori was invented it is not that well regarded and the Italian education system has evolved to other methods.

i feel bad that i know my son should continue to learn with Montessori Method but because we cant afford it, he is now settling in traditional education which stressing him so much instead of excelling he is somehow become lazy and sort of rebellious.
