@@KingKong19100 I used a cloth system for the skin, yes. I am considering purchasing the X muscle system, but for the purposes of this animation using cloth worked well.

Indeed! Would love to see this kind of work in the documentaries we need more of.

Basically I used a cloth sim in Blender and pinned it everywhere I didn’t want the skin to fold. Adjusted the parameters in the cloth sim until it looked how I wanted. I’d recommend using a lower poly model for this as the cloth bakes better and looks more like stiffer skin. Add a multires modifier and a displacement modifier to add baked details from the higher poly mesh. I might do a tutorial on this in the future, I’ve been thinking it’s something that would be useful for people to know.

Oh also, make sure the topology flows in the direction you want the skin to fold. If the topology already flows in the direction of the cloth creases it will end up looking cleaner.
