Yeah that's my thoughts too, it wasn't just the dating sim. That entire section where they casually went ahead to touch oblivion itself was great. There was still that general uneasiness you get from Lovecraft stuff as well, just ya know with a cute elder god lady in front and center.

Just Emily oh god, oh god I remember that... I would call it less erotic and more of a psychological horror,that happens to involve an insane person who sees the world as a lovecraftian body horror land and he sees a lil’ Cthulhu as cute 14 year old girl, because of his warped perception of reality. The insane person becomes attached to what he sees as the only human in existence, after they form a relationship Cthulhu then proceeds to force herself onto said insane person to collect his genetic material so it can create human Cthulhu hybrids, In a actually believable romance, as the Cthulhu in question is more of a parasite that learns about human culture to assimilate it as opposed to a monstrous star deity and thus becomes disturbingly humanized (that fact doesn’t make it any less gross that it’s a eldritch abomination getting it on with a guy every night who sees her as a child yet he lets it happen and begins to enjoy it even after he learns her true nature in fact he seems to really tie the metaphorical knot after he finds that out) really the insane guy is the problem for enabling it. and deciding to go full on Hannibal lector/jack Torrence from the shining ( axe included) on anyone who gets in the way of his happy Cthulhu family... Not to mention when our sweet Cthulhu loli ( Named Saya BTW) lures her boyfriends X to grope her before, tentacle raping her into the creature from the bad end of I have no mouth and I must scream. Saya then offers the transformed girl( who is now only slightly less broken as casca after the events of the Berserk golden age arc (as she still knows how to say kill me unlike casca who reverted to being a baby)) as a kind of anniversary gift To which our dear protagonist reacts with mild apprehension before going “hey atleast she’s not underage and stacked” before proceeding to have a viscous 3some, at saya’s insistence of course. This becomes their nightly ritual too! how fun I can’t believe I just summarized the whole visual novel, minus the parts in which his friends realize something ain’t right and proceed to get killed off one by one/come with a sawn off shotgun, a revolver, a silent hill 2 bludgeoning pipe, and of course some liquid nitrogen, to finally put an end to the travesty. In the “bad ending” I thankfully didn’t find this fappable so I basked in the grotesque horror story, but if your into that shit you totally can fap to it. I still read it after that happened so I’m not judging I almost admire the writer for tying pedophilia, lovecraftian horror, romance, serial killer dramas,cannibalism, and tentacle hentai into such a tight and surprising well written package I was trembling with unease and dread or painfully cringing as well as even going aww for our odd couple, before snapping back to reality and being further disgusted by my own reaction while admiring how they pulled it off. Some people like fapping to hot man on Cthulhu loli action but I enjoy the adrenaline rush of watching something so loathsome, terrifying and reprehensible, with sickening delight as I reach for my popcorn completely transfixed. I just watched it after seeing your comment and remembered that people said it’s as bad if not worse than doki-doki so I checked it out and here I am summarizing it and giving my thoughts. My sanity was well worth it
