Never thought of Jake Gyllenhaal playing Seymore, but now that I have seen it. HOLY HELL HE IS A PERFECT CHOICE! He just kills it at the role!

He lets out that perfect Levi Stubbs laugh and everyone simultaneously realizes it's going to be awesome.

"OH BOY, oh boy..." *can't remember line, flipping through script* "ohhhh booy."

*wildly waves around arms and legs* "dOeS tHiS LoOk iNaNimaTE tO YoU pUnK?!"

Levi Stubbs would be proud of that amazing Audrey II voice.

It's both weird and kinda cool to see an actual guy as Twoey! As ridiculous as the shoestring budget is in this, it's kinda neat to see it all stripped down like this.

OK this is absolutely the best Audrey II other than Levi Stubbs that I've ever heard. Jake was surprisingly good too, this was a really good cast overall

Few people could upstage Jake Gyllenhaal as thoroughly and completely as Eddie Cooper.

Eddie Cooper is everything. Give him more parts. GOOD parts.

Lumberjack Seymour makes my day

These two would be PERFECT for the new movie. Why didn’t they cast them??? Jake would be their star name, is a fun actor, is great for the role and interprets the character in a fun way. Eddie is comparable to some of the greatest Audrey II’s (including Levi Stubbs), plus he brings a Disney villain vibe to the role (which I am a sucker for).

It’s criminal that there’s no album with this cast.

A little disconcerting to see a man instead of a huge plant..but..I like!.

Eddie’s getting a lot of well-deserved praise, but this is my favorite performance of Seymour’s part of this song.

oh man he is GOOOOD. He got that super villain laugh and everything! I played the plant in a production many years ago. Honestly this song was the most difficult for me. I kept getting tongue tied on the line "you know the kind of eats, the kind of red hot sweets, the kind of sticky licky treats I crave" That line damn near killed me! And the special effect got a curtain call before I did. I walked out and the audience was like "who TF is that?" Good times....

I wish these was more songs of Eddie singing, especially as Audery 2, his voice is amazing :'(

That was actually better than I thought...but Ramona Keller (my favorite soprano) stole that part of the show with those clear pingy high notes.

Did anyone else know that the Audrey in this is Ellen Greene, the original Audrey from the movie! OMG, I am so happy right now, no one can top Ellen as Audrey.

It is kind of weird to see Audrey II be completely human but it works. He does a great job!

love this. Jake G is pretty awesome as Seymore. So understated. Love the 'theatre' moment of forgetting his lines. Is this a rehearsal??? does anyone know the story behind the scripts on stage? There is an audience so is confusing.

Def different seeing a man on a chair. We done this in a show I directed. I had a medium size puppet made and my singer used that as a puppet/character as he sung and acted.

Of course they get the actor who played Oogie Boogie to play Audrey II

That plant's smaller than I expected. Like Pod 2 small. Not necessarily bad, just not what I expected.

Oh my god, they completely screwed up at 6:14 and sang "the girl sure looks like plant food to me!" They realized the mistake they made and kept going....

I still can't get past the whole scripts on stage thing. I get that it's a concert, not a stage play, but I would appreciate it if they at least took the time to learn the lyrics.
