1. Einstein drawing parallels abt him receiving rewards and others patting der own backs inter-cutting with scenes of #Oppenheimer receiving citations was 🔥🔥🔥 2.Nolan's brilliance is d way he has shot d turmoil in #Oppenheimer s head With his head staying constant,d crackling bgm n d background turning shaky Also D scene wre he has 2 speak aftr d successful bombings showing his own internal remorse vis-a-vis d overall mood was masterful

What a review! The first one to explore the multiple complexities of the film. Even then, it has barely touched the surface of what can be said. Could discuss this for hours if need be, hidden with complexities in the “simplest” Nolan film😊

Hi, Sudhir. One of the excellent reviews. ( the other was by Bharadwaj Rengan) . You rightly pointed out the dilemmas faced by Oppenheimer. There are two or three scenes which I enjoyed. 1. The “ Trinity” countdown. Brilliantly filmed. At the end Dr. Oppenheimer says” I think it works”. 2. The courtroom drama, when the protagonists call it a Kangaroo court. 3. The cross examination of his wife. She handled it with aplomb. A must see movie.

Many Reviewer's are missing most of the point's you've mentioned here in this video I believe people need to respect the filmmaker's integrity on certain choices in storytelling. He has purposefully chosen not to show the opposition (Japanese), and stick to the character study of the scientist just like he never showed a single "Nazi" in his previous film Dunkirk. Yes it is a new type of storytelling without a proper antoganist, but only in cinema there is a hero and a villain, in real life and real life stories, there are only character's that act based on their personal interest. Just because the film doesn't fall into the usual screenplay tricks and glorifying war and it's hero, doesn't mean that the filmmaker has to be criticised maybe try to view the film with a blank mindset rather than trying to put our moral compass on every character to determine if he's good or bad.

Nolan mostly treats time as the key antagonist. You can check in all of his films.

I think Oppenheimer speaking about Alfred Noble and his invention(Dynamite) is a direct parallel to Oppenheimer's life too.

Sudheer, thank you for pointing out that blast sound to a change in the world. I Know scientists have different opinion on the big bang but here when you pointed out, it truly feels like the big bang which actually gave birth to a new world!

The reason for the silence after the bomb goes off is science. Sound travels slower and scientifically it will take 7.44 seconds for that distance Oppenheimer was away from the bomb for him to hear the explosion.

Great review. One disagreement about your thoughts on women in the film tho. IMO Kitty is a powerful character. He is her fourth husband, has a mind of her own, opinionated and the only character in the movie who can call on Oppenheimer's BS. Very atypical of a woman in that era.

Science - outcome of Fission reaction causes Fusion reaction Oppenheimer screenplay - Oppenheimer is devastated by the outcome of trinity test, hiroshima , nagasaki bombings, russia's atom bomb test - [Fission] hence oppenheimer goes against hydrogen bomb project , opposes Lewis Strauss. Lewis Strauss turns against oppenheimer - [leads to fusion]

this movie didnt work as an imax movie. it can be an awesome doccumentary. nolan actually devolving after interstellar. dunkirk wasnn't bad but tenet is a downfall...and this...oh what a dissappointment. you people trying to pose like genius by praising a movie that is already pretending to be a great movie. but it is only a pretention. nolan got traped in his own non leanier style that dont work for all themes. oppenheimer is boring to the bone. people talking ...talking...talking and not reaching anywhere...why it needs an imax camera ??!! it is all pretentions...marketing strategy.

Don't blabber here Dunkirk and oppenheimer are highest rated nolan movie till date. Critics loving it. You are saying imax is not needed for this movie like expert in that field. I think universal pictures and nolan knows better than you about imax.

Lol so u didn’t understand shit after watching it 🤣 don’t worry bro, you need a bit more intelligence and grasping power to understand the conversations and the magnitudes of discussions that were taking place. Not everyone is capable of that. Maybe in 20 years time you may be able to develop those skills 🙊
