Never thought of it before, but now that they brought it up, Sue Bird is really just a cool human being, and should up there on the top list of people, not just athletes. And as Tommy said, if they do another 5 hours with Sue (just on Russia alone or any other topic), I'd look forward to it. Sue+OM3=👍👍👍

This is interesting....It seems this interview took place really early in the WNBA season, before Sabrina got hurt....I like Tommy, but I'm not sure Sabrina will ever be as big a deal as any star Yankee player....Like, she'll be bigger than good Yankee players, but I'm not seeing her being a bigger deal in NY than Cole, Aaron Judge, players like that. Her getting hurt also REALLY hurt her momentum, which is a real bummer, because there was so much excitement around her and her in NY. It also hurts that the Liberty aren't any good, and it's unclear when they will be good. (Sidenote, being the Liberty in the WNBA bubble would be absolutely brutal....losing more or less every game and being stuck there and not being able to detach would be miserable) To really get to top notch popularity you have to win, and it's a little hazy as to when the Liberty will be competitive. Maybe next year with Sabrina, Asia Durr back, Kia Nurse and another lotto pick, but, who knows.

I was raised a Duke fan and have family from Roanoke, VA, J.J.'s hometown. It's interesting to listen to Coach K and J.J. Redick's political and social stances. It's my understanding Coach K was a Jesse Helm's supporting Republican (I don't really expect people here to understand that reference) has been more progressive over current social issues. And J.J. saying he wants this country to be better and having the conversations they had on this podcast, helps me see him in a different light which I appreciate.
