!!spoilers!! jouno either dies or gets turned into a vampire by the big bad tetchou doesn’t know what happened to jouno beyond the fact that he’s disappeared even tho tetchou is supposed to be chasing after an important artefact/character who could affect the peace and security of the entire world, he instead goes afte kanji, because he believes the detective agency has something to do with jouno’s disappearance *and in the process he says to kenji “i’m supposed to be going after [the important artefact/character], but for just five minutes, i’m placing jouno above justice”* which is the most romantic shit anyone has ever said in bsd (and the whole reason i picked back up the manga)
I've been telling this since they appeared in the manga but They are literally soukoku - except Tetcho is more tolerant and more eccentric than Chuuya and Jouno, around Tetcho, is short-tempered and less eccentric than Dazai
