Talk's Alex Phillips is joined by Conservative commentator Benedict Spence to discuss the King's speech today which will lay out Labour's legislative plans.
The pair also discuss the contest for leadership within the party. Benedict adds Priti Patel has been "busy building links with her colleagues" while Suella Braverman "just talks about herself and what she thinks" as the two names have been increasingly circulated for the next party leader.
Alex and Benedict also discuss the failures of the Tory party with Benedict adding "the Conservatives didn't quite understand what the government was.".

Suella is only boss who will bring back the 1 in 4 GE19 Tories who stayed home. The 1 in 4 who went to Nigel are never coming back. 10,000 ex Tory members join ReformUK every month. The RON predicted to go down to only 20 seat's at GE28. Nigel should recruit Braverman asap. (RON = remoner one nation).

Priti Patel has the advantage that she isn't disliked. I'm a fan of Braverman but a lot of people really don't like her.
