Been there! I sure dislike the walk back to the crash site. We've all done it, but I'm impressed with your attitude, you stay positive! Comes with the hobby. Peace from California!!
When someone says they never crash then 2 things are happening! Either they are lying or they aint flying! Remember we learn ten times more from a crash than we ever do from a great landing!
So quick question for you, I've got six flights on my new CZ t28, and I've bounced every one of them. I'm flying to 7000 battery, I think I may have it too far forward because it requires a lot of nose up trim. I know I need power on landing but I don't like bouncing this thing. Again. Thanks, and peace!
Look at how hard the flag was blowing in the direction of the bounce, that cross wind had no mercy the moment the plan bounce the wind just went for it
When you are standing on the runway and landing toward yourself, you lose two things: ability to judge touchdown trajectory and airspeed or rate of decent. Looks like you came close to landing on one of those circle pads you like to aim for though 😜
Yeah it is a bad habit that comes from me trying to get as close to the plane as possible for filming reasons. It is a constant balancing act between standing proper for flying verses getting a better closer shot. The solution would be to have a camera man but that just is not possible for my schedule.
I thought exactly the same thing, standing behind the fence at the pilot station gives you a 100% improvement on judging where your plane is in all situations
I switched out the nose gear with the FMS Avanti 70mm.. the mains are fine but the nose gear takes a beating on our runway.. I never use flaps with heavy head winds. Just seems to create way too many stalls
