The tempos on this song are just crazy . And the cutting in and out of the guitars at the end just makes it seem like gears just in and out , destroying existence then restoring it
I like it, can't wait for the alblum, I'm glad they are still together and still swinging hard, I will always support Suffocation, see you in L.A. with Revocation
F legends. First death metal i ever got into. Love these guys man. Whatever you think about this new stuff you gotta admit its pretty f badass they are still making awesome true death metal. They are metal gods they can do whatever the f they want at this point
Way more mid paced than I would have expected but still the same suffo I've listened to since '90 so glad to hear new material from musicians with this much history still killing the game
"...Of the Dark Light " what a stunning job this band (Suff) has put together on this month. I can't stop playing it. The strongest up to present year so far. Like you guys and hope by next year some new riffs are coming
Mmetal Vince I assumed when Mike Smith left again 😰😰😰 that they'd never be able to replace his power blasting. MS is like the John Bonham of blast beats, it's audible and enhances the song how much harder he plays. at first listen I thought this new new drummer (different than the Bedlam drummer) was just faster but listening again he's like a new Mike only faster. he's Power and speed, and wait a sec...actually you could use that to describe all suffocation as a whole 😀😀😀 \m/
this sounds amazing.. the drumming and production sound very clear and tight, works very well with suffocations sound. some parts remind of the first album. honestly the best suffocation track i've heard in years.
Can't believe people are whining about the drums, they're amazing! It's the one thing about this song that blows my mind every time I here this song. Just crushing!! So well thought out and technical
One of the top releases of 2017. The new skin beater makes the difference a little TechDeath. They've changed if you didn't know it was Suffo all you haters would like it. We all know they are the true purveyors of BrutalDeath with "Effigy" but times have changed. The production is crisp like TechDeath should be
ive heard a lot of people say this sucks but if you look at this on its own i think its a very good song i mean we wouldnt be seeing a core or djent band make this would we for the vocals i think they could have some work but still not bad im looking forward to listening to this album
Jesus! Eric Morotti is making sure that any drummer that comes into the Suffo camp after him will have a VERY HARD time pulling off his double kick work. That dude is no joke. If I didn't know this was Suffo, I'm not sure I would have recognized it. It's a little different. And Frank sounds slightly different too. But I'm just glad it IS Frank.
Life, work , kids, government Theft! all things that get in the way of life, total respect to touring musicians, these guys are doing it right, Glad to see Frank Mullan on the new album
From the time you understood anything You're misled to believe a false truth If you lived on in one's glory All that could befoul would be diverted This couldn't be further from the truth You control nothing And there's nothing you can do Your path has been set And to this you will see it through Dividing the flesh and the essence While dying - you see as you should But could never see Fleeing the host - panic frenzy Your last breaths to be counted And faint images fade as hope loses its worth Lift the veil to see the unseen The absence of light, exquisite agony Forked tongue messenger Deliverer whose words are the key The door of perception unlocks This couldn't be further from the truth You control nothing And there's nothing you can do Your path has been set And to this you will see it through Dividing the flesh and the essence While dying - you see as you should But could never see Fleeing the host - panic frenzy Your last breaths to be counted And faint images fade as hope loses its worth
i,m a old fan of suffo, this song make my day, seriously, guitar is a little bit more creative, drum sound more actual, weak point ...mullen is at this time of my listening erase....eager to ear more : )
if you think this is Deathcore because of the production style then you have clearly demonstrated that you do not understand how music genres work. sound quality does not make a genre, musical writing does, which in this case Suffocation has stayed true to brutal death metal
All haters.... Go to 7-eleven... Go to the nacho cheese dispensing machine. Lay your head underneath the outlet tube. Look into the tube as you squirt molten magma cheese in your eye socket and feel the pain of a thousand lashings from Terrance Hobb's guitar strap.
I had a chance to listen to the full new album and must say it's in line with what Suffocation has produced in recent years. That is, some pretty good brutal/tech DM!
Sounds like what I would expect but with a fresher sound. I really dig this song. Amazing musicianship! I really get worried when I read these negative comments. It still has that classic chug thick. suffo sound. How anyone that knows an inkling about music could say this doesn't sound like Suffocation is beyond me!! I would say if you can do better then do it. i
like the groovy and slammy riffs and the riff at 1:23 they feel very Suffo-ish and even Pierced from within like stuff the rest of the riffs sound like they are trying to appeal to the ultra tech death fans , not to mention the dead and robotic production .
Finally introduced to this band properly earlier this year on tour Morbid Angel at Atlanta. Terrence and Derek were BEASTS!!!! And damn cool to meet in person. Their live performance have made me a fan. SICK SHIT!!!
