It did obliterate me as well but I'm not crying. I'm looking at the crimson end of the sky during sunset, smiling faintly and grateful for a world with Sufjan in it. And I too wish that I can see him live at least once in my life.

You should give at least one or two other lice shows a lot. He’s not always like this. He’s weirder than this, but he’s also played literally by himself with an acoustic guitar and a banjo. So there’s quite a spectrum

Have you listened to his older music Sufjan has said that he likes making tech music and yes I do think that some of these pieces may not be as good as they originally were but It makes me happy to see Sufjan do what he wants he was not appeasing a crowd he was appeasing himself which is the most important thing for me is that Sufjan is happy singing and making his music. and as Sufjan is getting older he doesn't want to destroy his voice singing to his best so he has to have the dancers sing the higher notes for him and not only that but they do an amazing job at it along with dancing and I think what ever Sufjan does is good. But only my opinion and this wasn't meant to be mean of any sorts just wanted to share my opinion

You might think differently if you had been there because this tour was AMAZING. The videos don't do it justice.

totally agree ... i am so much looking forward to seeing sufjan live someday, but this would have ruined all my love for his music

thinktwice ehh Tbh I like these renditions as it’s more variety than to hear that really good recording. It’s like having watched the variety of cuts for the Blade Runner film, which is seven in total, and deciding on which one is your favorite.

Fred Spence He said we wanted to try something different in the video. Also casimir pulaski is the exact same as its always been. Just with that stupid outfit he has. I like this, he obviously wanted to try something fun and i think it worked for him. He even said he was traveling the world singing about sadness and death and wanted something more light hearted

It’s a pretty bad mix/possibly weak performance. Listen to the recorded album, it’s just as amazing as the rest of his music :)
