I dated my now husband for a year when we seriously discussed marriage and decided to get married in a year. Sometime within that year we talked about finances and I discovered he was making less than $20k/year less than me and had quite a bit of student debt (which I didn't). I didn't even think of it as being any kind of issue. The first thing we did after getting married and combining finances was to pay off his debt. 20 years later were still happily married and doing very well financially. I can't imagine money being a priority in choosing a mate (like these women do).

my dad was a small business owner of a very specific product range. it was my first real job i had during summers in high school. one of they key rules was asking questions and listening. combine your knowledge of the products, with what they are saying are their needs. then pick three items and present those to the customer explaining why each would work for their case. for a business that relied on return customers and lifelong customer loyalty, it was key to KNOW what the person actually needed.
