Sugaring at home is an easy and cost-efficient alternative to going to a salon, or a good in-between. With a little practice and the right technique, you will be sugaring like a pro in no time.
In this video I show you the basics of sugaring to get you started. If you choose to warm your sugar remember that it is not supposed to be hot, hot sugar can burn the skin so please be cautious. Before you start you need to make sure the area to be sugared is clean and dry. Using your supporting hand (non-sugaring hand) hold your skin taut as you apply the sugar in the opposite direction of hair growth. If you are a beginner it is best to do narrow, small sections so it is easier to flick off. Using the tips of your fingers you will mould the sugar at least 3 times over the desired area. Areas with thicker, courser hair may need as many as 5 or 6 moulds. After moulding the sugar relax your wrist and use a flicking motion to remove the sugar in the same direction of hair growth. On your last mould, before you flick the sugar off make sure you pass your last point and keep your hand parallel to your skin.
