I'm not religous in any way, but reggae stole my heart in the mid 70's when i was was a soul and club goer, i never looked back, without doubt the power of ras tafari has given rise to the most powerful heart felt music in the world, i still deliver the message to everyone i know even though i'm in Scotland, far from the big cities and a culture not known here, maybe my love is as strong as believers but in a different way. Goodness and mercy shall follow me for all of my life, may peace be with you for all of yours.
Very agree Sugar is untouchable. Im in cali where all my peers are idolizing rappers preaching hate and violence. I’ve decided to dedicate my future being a 80s Roots/Lovers/Dancehall deejay, spreading jah music REAL high vibrations to the people. Fore it changed my life and brought love to everything 🔊 JAH IS REAL
At his very best our late bredrin Sugar Minott was in a very lofty class all by himself. Look at the seamless way he fused R&B with roots in this totally awesome track. Is this roots, is this Lover's Rock reggae? It may not really matter because this track is hot, steaming hot. Reputed to be a very kind-hearted and generous man in his lifetime, especially to the down-trodden, may the great Jah Jesus Christus grant our late bredrin Sugar Minott space in His Father's house where there are many rooms. Selah.
I can't fathom the R&B aspect in this tbh. However definitely lovers rock! But I'm trying hard to distinguish whether it's UK or JA lovers rock. This a creditable aspect of Minott.
@@abuibraheem8741 Studio One Brentford Road lovers, there was no lovers in the 60's early 70's selectors used to play soft tunes for ladies eg Gimme lickle sign Owen Grey or Have you been in love by Carton & the Shoes or any Heptones tune.
I can recall playing this album and looking at the cover for what seemed an age. This song tells of the fragility of relationships, something I was struck by as a young youth in these lyrics. The power of music. Jah live.
I feel exactly the same about Sugar. If i could select his best songs and put them on a double album or a playlist, it would be one of the best albums in Jamaican music. But he's got so much useless filler music too.
@@echo-trip-1 @Leroy Powell I'm not sure how many 'boom' tunes you require. I have a playlist on youtube 'Sweet as Sugar'. Tell me if you can find a 'filler' tune. Peace.
Resting in perfect peace Sugar Minott, gifted with a voice sweet like sugar for. 🇯🇲 produce lots of talented reggae singers FEMALES AND MALES RESPECT... 😭 😭 😭 🎤 ❤ 🙌🏾 Ms 🇦🇬

Salut @Bionic dub. Où avez vous trouvé cette version ? Elle sonne vraiment bien comparée à celle de la press du LP live loving. Impossible de trouver la version dub par la même occasion ! Cordialement.
