This is definitely the most Perfume-eqsue Capsule song... this song could be on a Perfume album (with Perfume's voices) and no one would bat an eye. That said it's one of my favorite Capsule tracks...
I only know few songs from Perfume and only recently learn of this song and yeah it definitely gives Perfume vibes.. and then I learn they were basically written and produced by the same person xD And also all the songs (including this) were from 2007-2008 era.. kinda an iconic sound
I'm being hit with some serious nostalgia rn lol. Seriously takes me back to my highschool age when I used to be obsessed with J-pop, still love it but not as strongly as I used to.
Capsule's Mixer Yasutaka Nakata produced the music for Capsule, Perfume, Meg, Ami Suzuki, SMAP, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu according to some sources. Pretty talented if you ask me, but he is best known in Capsule for obvious reasons (He is physically there Mixing in live performances. ) The other bands are good themselves, should check them out.
@animezirow All of Perfume's songs have been written and produced by Yasutaka Nakata, who is the primary member of capsule, since 2003. As of today, he's still their main producer.
@thinkpad20 I disagree I think this song is uniquely capsule territory. it's one of his marking transitional works from that shibuya-kei lounge to the now more hardcore electronic since he also wrote jelly and fruits clipper around this same time. He's even said he thinks perfume is more commercial because it is more repetitive and catchy
