I'm from Atlanta, and was in my twenties in the 90's, and everything Big Gipp is speaking on are FACTS. A lot folks from New York and the west coast migrated to ATL in the '90s and they looked down on Atlanta folks. As a result a lot of dudes would get mopped up in the club, thinking that Atlanta dudes were slow or soft. There's a legendary story from back in the late '80s about how Easy-E got handled at the Omni for talking sideways to some Decatur cats. I'd love to hear that story from someone who was there.
In another ART video it was said Suge was there to get paper work straightened out for Mary J and Jodeci. That's why Suge was slapping up people and had Puff in a head lock. His man Big Jake was arguing with someone else about another issue and was shot.
All I know is back in the 90's certain cities don't play whether it was known gangs in the town or not. You come through with the wrong type of energy and you will leave in a body bag. Atlanta, DC, Philly, NYC, New Orleans and Baltimore are namesof a few cities I am talking about.
Doesn't matter the city anywhere in south north east west and I travel for my career, it just takes the wrong person not the wrong city, in houston I seem someone get killed for stepping on someone's shoe, and another situation for a dollar and another killed for some peanut butter in houston, I lived in houston for years and this was in the 80s , new Orleans, Philly, Washington, NYC, New Jersey, I lived in all those places and nobody plays around if they on Dat shit
@@tarrandavis2207 In Other Words It Doesn't Matter What City You Live In You Come Across The Wrong Person Who Is On That Shit And You Will Get Laid Down.
Yeah Suge started that part with puffy but it was NY dudes that started the East vs West beef when they stuck up Pac and shot him. And it was puffy that put out Who Shot Ya that escalated everything to a whole other level. That’s why Suge bailed Pac out. They had common enemies or so it seemed. Big didn’t have anything to do with it. He was for real caught in the middle. Then NY rappers had the audacity to put out I Shot Ya to further fuel the already blazing hot fire. Pac knew who shot him but that song made him think Biggie had something to do with it too. Puffy was in on it though not Big. I believe eventually Pac and Big would’ve made amends. But don’t count NY out of the mix though. NY played a major part in it. Two of the greats gone because of two shiesty label owner/CEOs and NY henchmen and stickup kids. Of course there are other details involved. Point is, don’t make it like NY didn’t play a part when they was the ones that robbed and shot Pac and raped that lady that Pac went to prison for.
@@terrancerobinson20 bro you sound goofy AF ....how tf shooting pac start the east coast west coast beef when pac wasnt even screaming California and westside until AFTER he joined deathrow??? As far as the chick who got raped....those were pacs peoples with him that night....to be honest the MEDIA started the east coast west coast beef.....because they dubbed it that in the headlines When really it was just pac beefing with biggie and a bunch of people just got caught up in the hype Also how tf is a whole city responsible for the actions of a few ppl from that city....🤦🏿♂️ ridiculous
@Kingbreather2014 No one ever answers to J Prince outside of 5 Ward, Sauce Walka crew definitely don’t. When the RICO charges drop, everyone will be signing like a bird!!! It is only a matter of time.

Jake probably felt invincible because he was with suge, thinking since everybody knew about suges rep on the west that automatically everybody would be scared, but news flash, suge didn't have a strong hold on no other region but the west coast, and then on top of that you went out there without having some ATL reputables. Around you to deescalate the situation, just y'all two was a suicide mission, in surges mind his ego was so huge, he thought EVERYBODY all over the world was scared of him, and he soon found out, that there's savage goons and killas every where that can give 2fks about his rep in the west coast. When you come to a WHOLE NOTHER CITY, IT'S THEIR RULES, THEIR WAY!!! And you will get dealt with.
@@arkhamknight6371 it was a different dude in Bad Boy's Crew named Jason. Former Bad Boy Music Artist Mark Curry spoke on that in his book Dancing With The Devil'.
Suge Knight could've been right up there with Diddy, Master P, Jigga, Ye, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, etc as some of the richest in the Industry but he couldn't leave the thug life alone which ultimately caused his demise. Suge and Death Row was making money hand over fist but unlike the others, he could never keep his butt out of trouble, grow up, stop acting like an idiot and focus squarely on music and business. Now he's rotting in a jail cell where he belongs.
@@biggame2175He was basically saying dudes was getting popped in Atlanta on the regular, just like they were in LA. This just happened to be NY dudes. Many NY dudes got popped coming to Atlanta thinking it was sweet.
It's amazing what Suge has been through. He had his biggest artist murdered right next to him, and a lot of his patnas too. He also been shot himself and killed a few ppl. He was the boogeyman like folks say.
He said ATL dudes did it but turned around and said "NY dudes activated". Mark Curry just told this story and it was definitely a NY dude that shit Jake.
People just say oh he came to be a bully and he got dealt with ……suge is super balls man he went by him self and one friend named jake. This dude is funny and authentic!….The 1980’s & 90’s were dangerous times, but still had rules and principle. Now, EVERYBODY that has a gun is suddenly tough and a gangster, the same people that would’ve been dorks 30yrs. ago….SMDH.
It's true. I'm a 2000s baby and I smh sometimes when I look at some of these modern day nils, under 100 pounds and dope fiend-out thinking they're tough when most of them never laid somebody out in jail or did a serious bid. The only rappers I can really respect today that did that was FBG Duck and King Von they carried themselves like men.
@@cheezedoodlenygguh6229 Most big rappers from those times didn’t do bids either. Dre, cube, snoop, em, just to name a few. The 80’s rappers weren’t even on that gangster shit like that. How many nwa rappers did serious time?
@@jasonwest7476 I wasn't really talking about the rappers . I'm just talking in general, street dudes nowadays aren't as tough as they used to be. They still shoot but the 80s-90s were a different time. Different mentality. More poverty, fighting, and outta control violence. There's not a lot of Herons or Monster Kodys anymore.
@@jasonwest7476 To clarify what I meant about rappers, there are more rappers catching cases now I will agree. But most of them aren't like Duck or Kevin Gates. These men had the hearts of lions.

"NY activated. They wrote his prescription that night." People be forgetting that NYC gets down for ours. Think about it...if you hear about out-of-towners a majority of the time they come from NYC. We're used to moving around in every state and different countries. You don't move around like that if you're shook. We show love and get love everywhere but NYC has never been sweet. That said, other places ain't sweet either. If I learned anything in my travels is that every hood has killers. Walk in and leave with respect and most times it will be given back. Facts.

@antertainment531 whats crazy is that style of Debo doesent last in the industry when your public figure like him. even Interscope later on stayed away from him and i dustry folks stick together as a whole wont deal with him anymore hence why when suge came home from prison, he was blackballed.

Jimmy Iovine is the mastermind but not the puppet master. Just a piece of the puzzle...the gang music and coast beef was a setup to further destroy the black man and to take as many souls as possible.

Suge used to get artists out of bad contracts through threats of violence to label heads. His problem was he started using the same tactics against his own artists to extort them. Had Suge stuck to the principles that got him started I think he would have left a better legacy.
@@alexprovence9379 Suge NEVER gave his artists access to their own funds. He kept everything in his name. They got outta line they got beat. Dre left with nothing, Snoop left with nothing.
