A very beautiful composition performed with stellar professionalism.. the steel slide player is a true chef of "taste" .. the whole band is creating a beautiful "soundtrack" here.... this is great music all around.. that guitar tone that Andy is getting is "luscious and rich" this is top shelf stuff.. I'm gonna book mark this and listen to it daily its very inspiring! I can hear from his playing that Andy has been listening to the great Thomas Blug lately as well...
heard this song for the first time on an interview yesterday here in Knoxville TN...every time he plays this song it is slightly improvised so every version is unique and always amazing...i expect to hear this in a movie at some point
There appear to be 2 versions of this on youtube, filmed at different performances and they are within 1 second of the same length. Andy is a metronome.
First time ever hearing of this guy - count me in. Great stuff. As usual, love to see a rig rundown on this guy. Anyone who has a link to his gear, feel free to share.
Not bad for a mandolin player ha?🤣 Imagine? He was/is a mandolin player🤔 when he picked up the guitar "this happened" he's such an inspiration. Andy's like every great guitar player on the planet rolled into one and a very down to earth humble guy on top of it. I don't know why I had not found or heard of him until now but my worlds a much better place now that I have!
Awesome! What bridge plate does Andy have on his guitar? That's not the usual Wilkinson; it has cut down sides and different saddles from what I can see. Looks cool and perhaps more ergonomic than the "classic" design (for people that are bothered by that)
