The A.C.E. (Analog Cabinet Emulator) is an active analog cabinet emulator designed to offer guitarists a portable and convenient way to capture the complex characteristics of a guitar speaker cabinet for a variety of recording (silent* or in a studio) and live performance applications without the use of a microphone.
Whether you are in the studio or on the road, the A.C.E. is sure to become an invaluable tool to delivering a flexible variety of emulated cabinet simulations consistently, every time.

Does it make any sound? Strange way to show a musical product...

How might this respond if I used some sort of Preamp pedal as opposed to an actual amplifier? Could it still have the same effect? Or was this mostly designed for running a real amplifier+load box into it?

Cool and to the best of my limited knowledge, a rather unique product. Also what cables are those in the video, they look very nice.

Looks like PRO CO Stagemaster speaker cable, probably 14ga. Their Lifelines series would actually be better.

If you have the Ace speaker simulator, what does the reactive load do?
@SuhrCustom
@SuhrCustom 6 лет назад
The amplifier needs a load, it can be a speaker but if you want to use the ACE and Reactive Load in Silence that is when you use the RL

So....if i connect my blackstar ht60 to this and turn off the standby switch and go in front of house, can i do that? Have the speakers off on my amp on stage but go to front of house to have no sound on stage and i just have the sounds from the monitors on stage?
@SuhrCustom

No but you could use a Reactive Load and do that. Your amp always need a load if it is tube.

handy but I don't know if I could get rid of my last element in the signal chain.

You mean the mic?

Why are there 2 inputs and how would you use them both at the same time?
@SuhrCustom
@SuhrCustom 7 лет назад
One is for speaker output direct to the ACE, in that case you have a level control, the other is if you are using a line input like the Reactive load line out.

Does increasing the output increase "gain" through FOH?
@SuhrCustom
@SuhrCustom 6 лет назад
Its an input trim for when you are feeding an amplifier speaker output in to it. It doesn't affect anything if you plug in to the line in but the EQ still works. Thanks JS

Thank you, but I'm not sure I understand complete. I don't think I explained it clearly so it's my fault. Here is what I want to do: Amp->Suhr ACE->Cab and use the XLR for output to the FOH. If I increase the "output" knob on the ACE, will there be gain as a result or just a pure increase in volume only (like master volume).

When using the speaker input the input control is the input trim for the ACE so it controls the amount of signal you are taking from the speaker, there is a clip light if you are too hot. Adjusting it in this situation will affect the level of signal going to the FOH, the same as turning up or down the fader at the FOH. This is because the ACE doesn't know if you will be using a 100W amp or a 10W amp so it helps optimize the optimal signal level to the ACE. - If this is still confusing please reach out to CS www.suhr.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/ACE_Manual-1.pdf
