Abigail A how true that is, sometimes someone looks ok in the outside but they are in pain in the inside. They hide behind the smiles, they go out but wish they never had because regardless of who they are surrounded by they are not happy and wish to leave. Sometimes trying to look ok and fine is soo exhausting, hiding all of it and keeping it in can be poisonous.
I wear a mask everyday and it's exhausting. Nobody knows my real thoughts. I appear to be happy, successful, and to have it all together. I feel hopeless, worthless, and weak. I feel numb and overwhelming sadness at the same time. I question on a daily basis what the point of everything is. I don't feel I've made a positive impact on anyone. My existence serves no purpose.

You don’t have to have had a bad family life, health problems or relationship problems. You can have the perfect, most supportive family and still be depressed.

Well to be honest an "attention seeker" is someone who do need help. Someone looking for attention is most likely someone who either didn't receive any as a child and grow up starving for it. Or someone who find it was the only way to get love from other people and think it's how it work. Either way they need the help of a professional.
I just got out of a week coma. One friend one of my only friends said it was a call for help... i didnt leave a note. I just wanted to leave. Im seeking help now. Now insurance is a problem but hearing my loved ones i forgot existed through this depression, made me realize im not alone. To hear my brother who lives an hour away i have not talked to in a year say he had to make end of life decisions for me while i was in my coma, made me realize there are people. Such a surprisingly common myth is that all people who are suicidal hide it and won't tell anyone. This leads to people assume that those who reach out for help aren't "really suicidal" which is so incredibly damaging.
Even if you believe that presumption, why on earth would that be one's conclusion from it? If I assumed that all suicidal people hid their intentions and someone opened up about it to me, that would be a case of "This person just made themselves extremely vulnerable to me, I should REALLY treat this seriously" for me. I mean even if they were not serious about it, this is a matter of "better safe than sorry" if there ever was one.
I remember outing myself about my particular paraphilia as a way to cause someone to murder me, I've even given out where exactly I live; I pinpointing my exact location just to cause an assisted suicide. Of course it hasn't happened but my paraphilia is no longer a secret in my life, my attractions cause me to be depressed and with scientific research I've studied about tells me paraphilia cannot be cured and is unchangeable no matter how much therapy I'll go through; not even chemical castration can cure a paraphilia.

Honestly. I lost two of my closest friends cuz me and my boyfriend (ex now) were both extremely depressed and suicidal at the same time and my best friend and his girlfriend were always with him instead of me and his gf said cuz "hes more depressed" like....wtf does that even mean? I hate that shit

Ugh it makes me mad when someone says “they just want attention” sometimes, for some people they dont really want to die, suicide is like a panic button, they do something extreme to show they NEED help. Not for everyone but it’s not about attention it’s a cry for help
Ya I totally agree, but another thing is that there are people who only do it for attention, I knew this one person who would always pretending to be depressed (and we all knew they were lieing because it was obvious) while I was in background having actually suicidal thoughts, and I still do.

Why did they feel like that needed that attention? We can't invalidate them because they are doing this just for attention right now. People are only attention seekers usually because they are lacking something very vital to them. That lack of whatever it is, could potentially lead them down that path if the problem is not resolved. Instead of giving them the attention in that sort of way, we should instead try and get them the help that they need. Someone professional to talk to, or someone they trust to ask them. "Why are you really doing this? What can I do to help you feel like a whole and loved person? What do you really need?"
But you have to understand everybody thinks different so those people are thinking that they. for example, I had an ex-boyfriend who felt that his mother didn't care enough about him and that he wasn't good enough for her to want to live and was very mad and hurt. Also, people forget it is a blessing to get to live on Earth and to even be born and live an eternity live it's a gift. Its sad people have forgotten how to love one another and help one another and come together as a union.
I hate when people made depression at trend. Like the meme they made. My friend made that joke about depression infront of me. I’m no longer friends with them. Not many people without depression know that it’s hard to seek help. It’s not for attention, it because you want to get out of it.

I have attempted succide about 2 times and my best friend has tried a lot more than me There’s not want to be friend group who is mentally stable and me and my best friend would often sit on the train track like the edge and the other two would pull us up and tell us we shouldn’t do that we just tell them we’re joking be honest it’s more of a rehearsal

I promised her I wouldn't tell anyone, and I haven't and I won't unless it becomes VERY bad. Her parents found out and haven't done a thing about it, and they continue to make it worse.

Hi. My friends used to say "isn't that just being lazy though" or "but she's your bestfriend" when I explained that I didn't want to go to a party cos of my anxiety. I recommend trying to hang out with kinder people, it helped me :-) also go see a therapist or psychologist if you want. That's what made me "able" to make new friends in the first place. Exactly. I have extreme extreme anxiety and I hate being around anyone besides my dad and sister so I hate going to school and I hate going to parties but my mom makes me go anyways and she just makes fun of me for not wanting to go

Exactly years back when my mom told me about one of her teachers committing suicide, i thought he was stupid. I was happy and too young then. But now i suffer and i know how it would've felt.
Yah.. Having gone through depression and being close to committing suicide , I can attest to that. Those were exactly my thoughts. The only thing keeping me from committing suicide was my family and not being able to put them through the pain of losing someone close to them. I just couldn't do that to them. Thankfully I'm in a much better place now , but we did lose my mom's sister to suicide nearly 6 years ago , so now I know what it would've been like if it had been me who had done it.

I always say "I wish I could just skip my whole life and be already in the grave." People don't think I'm serious. It's hard for them to understand that that's actually what I want so much. To just skip this whole stress and anxiety filled life full of figuring out your next move, your school, your job, your relationship, everything. It's all just too much.

Trust in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and follow God’s commandments and you will be eternally happy. Life gets difficult at times, but God and Jesus Christ are always there. Prayer is always an option.

I’m a survivor twice. I always downplayed myself and my experiences and even after two attempts, both times I was very drunk and very high so someone once told me that they didn’t count. From my perspective, it just made me brave enough to kill myself but fail because of how messed up I was. It still makes me sad that you can hurt so much and literally almost die from it, and still no one around you takes you seriously. It’s hard. But I’m here for a reason so I thank God for that.

@Milica J always say her feelings are valid, and never say to just get over it. Let her know she’s loved and supported. Drugs and alcohol often make things worse, and unstable when they don’t make it worse. When she’s sober, see if there are any possible causes of sadness that can be eradicated or any possible happiness that can be heightened, though usually nothing brings joy anymore. I usually hate promises things will get better, but with the pandemic, something making her sad might actually get better soon if she can just hang on a little more. Also, Facebook friends will occasionally post things. It might be helpful for her to speak w someone else who feels the same so she knows she’s not alone. If all else fails, call a hotline. They have great tips. Good luck! Thank u for sticking by ur friend!
@@jessicaschroder6978 she was depressed for so long and just summers made it better cuz she could hang out more but pandemic made it hard financially for her family..she really have problems like in family so she is too stressed...I constantly telling her it's not forever she just need to wait a little and we will find a job..For some things only I understand her so we became best friends really fast and she don't feel free to talk to anyone else like that..I really hope she will hang on little more I love her more than anything else on this world and I don't know how would I end if she do something to her.....Thank youu for answer 💜💜💜

this was the way how I think before, I thought. No one wanted me in the first place, my biological parents tried to abort me anyway and people who accepted me are better off without me since I'm selfish and useless. to be honest, I still sometimes have that thoughts and just feel like I should just end things but at the same time... I couldn't. Yes my biological parent wanted me to die before but they didn't kill me, yes these people who accepted me hated me but they never left and I should be glad by that. If you ever feel alone, share your thoughts on a paper, express it through art or story writing, find people who relates with you. Because you are not alone, sometimes, we just can't see those people who cares about us, we may not get that response that we want but at least someone cares about us. but you guys can do it. we all can do it

You know, one time in the middle of when my depression was at its worst, I became completely emotionally numb. I remember watching some video about murder and how absolutely horrible and inhumane it was, and I thought, exactly, “ I could kill someone right now and not feel regret.” I honestly could’ve killed a person right at that moment. I still feel chills when I think of how serious I was. Update: I’m fine! i wrote that as a memory. of course depression never completely goes away, but i’m way over that dark period in my life. remember that getting help really really helps. during that time i was completely alone bc i shut myself off. it only made things worse. going to therapy healed me more than anything else could! be safe!
Ikr it's the same. At those times, i feel so confident and serious. But then when it stops feeling that way, i think i was too bold or i just can't believe myself.

My sister was angry because i wanted to die, she kept saying that i didnt care for anyone in my life since i wanted to end it. The more she kept on the more desperate i was. The time she said to me that if u wanted to die soo bad pray to god then that u want it and so i did. She thought i wouldnt do but i wasnt joking, so after that she got my siblings involed which turned out making me stressed even more. They said i had nothing to be depressed about and that i was being dramatic. Now im to drained to care, im not attempting anymore ( i hope ) but the thoughts are always there, just not as strong now.

Back then I was like weighing the Why and the Why Not of me killing myself and I actually thought of murdering my own mother once I "confirm" that she doesn't want to live anymore, otherwise I'll just die before her as the usual. Hi, I’m a suicide attempt survivor. Since i am from a small country and the way i attempted it was in public almost everyone in my country knew. I felt exposed when i was in public and tried to avoid all forms of social interaction with everyone including my friends and family. I never wanted to die, i just didn’t want to live. At the time i was going through a lot, and felt ashamed to talk about it with anybody. That lead me to feel as if i was all alone. Alone in a crowd. I had a loving family and a close-knit circle of friends. They all knew me as someone who was always fun and smiling. So everyone was quite shocked when they realized that my body, was the body of the news were reporting about. The girl that jumped into the ocean as an escape route, but was fished out by a bunch of concerned fishermen. I felt guilty when i heard that my friends cried. More so when i heard the cries and concerns of my parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins. There were numerous speculations as to why i did what i did. I was an attention seeker. Perhaps possessed. Maybe i broke up with my boyfriend. Or someone had molested me. Some believed what they heard and others didn’t. News channels reported the incident, articles were written and senseless comments were submitted. What broke me the most post suicide attempt were some of the comments i read under an article about me. I wasn’t supposed to be checking the news but i was curious. In the pretense of texting a friend i got my dad’s phone from him and read the first article that i saw. People were blaming my parents. They said I wasn’t given the proper education, and that had no religious values instilled in me by them. It broke me. Help. Depression was hard and well, depressing. Now everyone knew the extent of it. How far it had taken me. During and after being released from the hospital, i got help. Something i never thought I’d get. For the first time, in a long time i had to talk. Release the weight that had been weighing me down and silently killing me from the inside. I felt free. Even though I wasn’t ready to let it all out, bits and pieces of the puzzle started to come together. I could never bring myself to reveal the full extent of what I endured, but everyone near and dear to me got some sort of an explanation. Especially my mom. My mom is the love of my life. My angel. I didn’t want her to hurt but the damage was already done. The path ahead was hard. However everyday, without fail, my mom was there for me. She gave me strength to move on. Days, weeks and consequently months passed and i began to heal my broken self. Self love was an alien concept. But i was getting better. My bitter self caused people to leave, but I understand. Today, after over an year and a half from that fateful day i am a different person. A better version of myself. Stronger than I could’ve ever imagined. For now I’m not the girl that jumped into the ocean, to die. I’m very much alive. Inside and out.

My life has been turned upside down and some days are very hard to get through but I feel I have no choice. We were very close and on more than one occasion talked through their problems. My oldest brother passed away over 5 yrs ago and my baby brother will be gone 2 yrs in May. I found them both and live with that image. I will keep going because it’s all I know and I pray you keep your chin up and face the world knowing you are very important to so many people. Ask them if they would talk the same way about you if it hit close to home with your family. Open the dialogue and bring awareness of how they are unknowingly contributing to your distress. Educate them about it.

I have suicidal thoughts pretty much 24/7. I honestly can't handle life. It's like I am waiting for my last breath and the only thing that comforts me is the thought of dying.
The subject of suicide attempts hits really close to home. My best friend attempted 3 times in 3 months a few years ago. He was unsuccessful, thank god. He got the appropriate help, diagnoses and medication and he's doing really well now. I never thought he'd get better. There is hope. Please reach out to someone .... anyone.

Exactly. Maybe they’re “wrong” for going to extremes to do that. But I feel like people refuse to see the human side of that. They want to view them as someone wrong, but that’s so awful. They still need help.
For those trapped in the wreckage of a suicide attempt, or some other mental derangement that caused a spectacle in the midst of a "cry for attention", the need to demonize is a self preservation mechanic. You're not going to "cure" it. If they don't demonize the person for their "callous" or "selfish" act, then they have to admit somewhere that they screwed up. This is especially true for family... parents... If their child didn't have something inherently wrong or wasn't twisted from the get-go, then the parents have to admit to their shortcomings. It really does take a parent to screw up a kid that bad... BUT you're not going to get most parents to admit it. They have to protect their own delicate sensitivities, too. That doesn't make any of it right. It simply is... People will double down, and squirm and thrash and lash out and offer all kinds of justifications for themselves. They'll go through all manner of mental gymnastics just so they don't have to admit they were wrong, insensitive, or otherwise contributed to their kid doing such a horrible thing. The truth is, those people need help and don't even see it... It's part of the definition of insanity. "Insane people don't believe they're insane. One of the biggest problems in tv is that the person who attempts is just like "well this happened to me ... better end my life then" while real sucide thoughts happen over time and over many events. We dont just think it and decide it right then and there. We ponder on it and overthink it for a long time before we decide if it's the right thing to do. Most of us try multiple times and no one knows until the one that almost ended us or the one that completed the task.
The guy in the red hoodie who talked about being glad he survived and he was just in an impulsively driven state to do it... really hits. He reminds me of a friend I lost in high school to suicide. He was drinking and was very upset that night. I know he had struggles but It's bittersweet to hear someone coming out the other side. I'm almost positive he would say the same thing if someone found him early enough. His brother also took his life years later. I wish everyone peace and the support they need
“If you tell a therapist that you’re suicidal, they will put you in the hospital.” why did only the mental health worker respond to this? I actually think it's true and not a myth. I am a survivor myself and I've seen therapists do this plenty of times to my friends, my brother, and myself. Not everyone in the US has health insurance because it's so expensive to some. Not everyone will feel safe with a therapist if they involuntarily send them to a hospital and expect the person to pay for it too.
@@bootycheeks520 I can totally see where these therapists are coming from. They're technically legally liable for you and can get in trouble if something happened to you when it could've been prevented.. it's just a rough situation for everyone :(
This is a myth. I don't know how many people I've told I have a plan. I've said it to about 5 therapists a social worker, my group trauma therapist. The only person that admitted me to the hospital was me. I drove myself once and the other two times I asked my daughter to take me. So it's not true the therapist or doc will call the ambulance and have you carted off to the mental health facility. And if you dont have insurance you can apply for emergency medical assistance through the government while you're in the hospital. That is what I did the second time I was hospitalized

Every time i’ve attempted suicide it hasn’t been planned, i was in the middle of a panic attack and the pills sitting next to me were the only thing that was going through my mind.
I know someone who told me after her attempt that “ it’s not about reasons to live it’s about the will to live” that hit me hard also I was told that she immediately regretted her decision and is grateful she was helped in time. She experienced ptsd as a result of the trauma of her attempt and the emergency treatment she received.
That's true. It's three things we need to continue to live. Will, hope, and purpose. When we lose those things, it's often hard to keep our strength to live. This is even true for people who is dealing with physical illness as well. A cancer patient must never give up the will to fight another day, the hope that they can survive, and a purpose (reasons) to live.

If you think that someone you know is suicidal, make sure that you are ready to hear about it before engaging a conversation. As a person who has struggled and is still struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts, I have reached to close friends for help to discover that they just couldn't deal with my distress. They ended up dismissing it with "you should go out more often"s and "oh but it's gonna be okay"s to protect themselves, and I felt all the more isolated after this. They cannot be blamed for it though. Dealing with a friend's mental struggle and the fact that they want to kill themselves is a real challenge, and no one should feel guilty for not being able to cope with it. But you should know your own limits. If you think having the talk is too much for you to handle, take it into account and be ready to help your friend reach for someone who will be able to open a conversation with them (best friend, relatives, or therapist).
Thanks. I realized that eveb people ask you and tell you that you can tell them everything. They aren't ready and in the end just trigger them. Its hurts. But not much are ready to listen and they just get obsessed on advising and making me stop "whining"

And sometimes it's really what someone wants. I do a lot of self talk now but I can remember back in 2010 when I went to an abandoned office park on a Friday night and it was pouring rain. This office park had trees grown up around it. U would have no reason to even be near it on a Friday night. But low and behold some sobs stole my Tools out of the back of my suv and left and called 911. I can say with out doubt, it wasn't any kind of rehearsal. Not even a little bit. Even on a good day I would rather not be here. So hard in my head. But you making that comment could actually trigger someone or several people to take their life just to prove to YOU that it wasn't a rehearsal. It was real feelings that they had at that time. Just saying...
Hosp is a crapshoot as to whether you get good care or can even get a bed. It's probably better to try it out. They won't keep you very long. They won't throw you naked into a padded room, or tie you to a bed or give you electroshock. Showering, clean clothes, eating hot meals three times a day, meeting the people on your unit can give you a boost from the time you walk in. You can always kill yourself after you get out if you still want to.

Honestly, hospitalization saved my life. I wouldn't be here today, had I not been hospitalized. If you trully plan on attempting suicide, and if the health care in your country is at least decent, you shouldn't be afraid of it. It releives the burden of having to keep yourself breathing, the staff does it for you, you get a break from everything and get people you can talk to without having to be scared of their reaction or of them judging you.

my friend didn't show signs. he always smiled and laughed and was incredibly engaged with others. no one knew he was in as much pain as he was. I wish he felt he could reach out. I wish he hadn't felt alone. I wish I or someone closer at the time could've helped him. I feel like he would've shared a lot of light and wisdom if he had survived.
It’s scary because I’m exactly the same. To others I’m happy, funny, get good grades, have a friend group. But I’m covering up cuts and hours of crying and planning things. It’s really hard being on that side of it, needing to say something but being completely unable to.

I've been dealing with suicidal thoughts for some time. Honestly it's been due to toxic family but I'm hoping it goes when I move out(hopefully this year).

My situation is kinda unique my parents are overbearing and have kinda forced life decisions onto me that don't take into account my disability(DCD) and have generally made things more difficult than they need to be which is why university went soo horribly. They're not bad people(I've heard of worse situations) but fail to see that I want to do things in a way that make things easier for me. As a result I feel like soo much time has been wasted so what's the point. I see friends around me excelling in careers and falling in love going on holidays and I just feel stuck and kinda broken. However, I am looking forward to finally getting independence in all its meaning.
Nobody actually wants to die. We just want to stop suffering. Or go through a level of suffering that's manageable and won't take over our whole life. And especially, being around other people who can show compassion really tips the scale. It really helps a lot. Also, one thing I wish the media wouldn't do is treat suicide as something people deserve for being "too weak". It's inherently a cruel concept and a concept that doesn't account for reality. It's just a comfort for those who DON'T experience suicidal thoughts. Like "I must not be suicidal because I'm stronger". And that's completely false.

Sometimes. When I was extremely suicidal, I had this wrongful belief in my mind that if I went to that extreme, I would somehow be able to start my life over. Erase my mistakes by permanently ending my existence, and starting a new one. I did want to die. I didn’t want to stop the pain, I wanted to fade into obscurity. I couldn’t do it though because I know the impact commuting suicide has on family & children. I have two younger brothers, and wether I wanted to admit it or not, the impact of my death would traumatize them for life. My mom almost attempted twice when my brother and I were kids. I didn’t find out until (accidentally) discovering it when I was 15, and after that I couldn’t stop thinking about how traumatizing snd different my life would be without her. My impact would put people through suffering and trauma, and I couldn’t bring myself to hurt them that way.
Great docu.... There was controversy over the camera being left there...but I don't agree with the controversy. We failed those people before they got to that bridge...watching their final moments is the VERY least we could do...to face this truth head on. I do agree with the need for bridge nets
Andrew Sipos I agree with you, I think it’s a great documentary. But as someone who has fought suicidal impulses and survived an attempt...just watching it sent me into a new downward spiral of obsessing over my own possible suicide, and suicide in general. I kept rewatching it, even though it made me feel horrible. It f*cked with my head, I’ll leave it at that. I think that film is *really* triggering for lots of people-it is for me, and in the comments I saw it had the same effect on a LOT of people. I’m not all about trigger warnings on every little thing, but the Bridge shows multiple deaths by suicide. People need to know that before they watch it! **They may have one now, idk. But when I saw it last year, there was no trigger warning-it didn’t even say it showed people jumping to their deaths! All it said was that it was about people jumping from the GGB. 😕

I've had suicidal thoughts for about 10 ish years (I'm 17) and it's always been like a fantasy in my mind. I've never had a full-blown suicide attempt but there have been many times where I hurt myself with so much anger that I almost tried to kill myself. I was suicidal before I was depressed, and at first, I took depression as a joke when it got introduced to me at school and I acted stereotypically depressed for fun. Eventually, it just became an actual lifestyle for me and it has only gotten worse and worse since. Depression ain't fun and it certainly isn't for attention. I can vouch that sometimes people will do things like suicide attempts as a cry for help, as I have made cries for help in similar ways a few times. Especially with covid making getting help a lot less available for people, including me, it can be really hard to get help sometimes and it's hard to directly ask somebody that can help you, to help you. If you know anyone who shows signs of major depression and seems suicidal, don't hesitate to ask them if they want some help or, if you're sure that they need it, try to get some help for them because it's really hard to ask for help especially when you feel so bad that you don't want help. And for all the people like me who are struggling to make it through each day, stay strong. There will be an end to it all and there will be a light at the end of the tunnel. Think about what you want to do and chase your dreams, don't let anybody tell you that you can't. And, if you wanna talk, leave a reply to this comment and I will try to respond (though probably nobody will read this). Remember that tomorrow is another day and anything can happen, life can always get better. If you read all of this, you're insane and I hope you're having a great day, and that you'll have an even better day tomorrow

I remember I was living in the Netherlands and I called the suicide hotline and told them I was in front of the train rails and was about to jump and they told me to breathe and take a break from work for two days and that everything would be ok Lol. I called a friend to say goodbye and they went to pick me up and then send me to another country to receive proper attention. I would not be alive if I would have followed the hotline tips
@@8BAAS I called my psychiatrist in Mexico and he referred me to a psychologist. They gave me the attention in a matter of hours, while in the NL you have to wait up to three months. Depending on your migratory status and your location in the NL you could go to get help in Germany, or contact a certified psychologist in your country who gives psychotherapy via Zoom or Skype.
Im a survivor of 14 attempts, I never opened up the anyone about it and I never even showed what I was going through still struggle with depression anxiety and two eating disorders but I and 10 days clean of SH and 113 days clean from an attempt I'm trying :)
I hope you are doing much better right now. I have never been depressed or had any suicidal thoughts so I might not completely understand your situation but I wish you find happiness and come out of the positive side and also you are really brave.

Coming from someone who has struggled with depression and anxiety for years, I think the most dangerous thing about 13 Reasons Why is the way that it depicts the world falling apart after the suicide has happened and the reactions of others. But in reality, the sad truth is that you won't be around to see people's reactions or the way it affects others because you'll be dead. Once you end your life, your life ends forever. There is no tomorrow or wondering what if. And sadly, the world will keep on turning and life will move on and you are gone. I think suicide needs to be shown more as a permanent ending because that's what it is.
That was probably one of the best trigger warnings I have ever seen. Instead of just saying, "trigger warning" they explained what the video contains so people can actually decide whether they can watch it or not.

People ask - 'are you having suicidal thoughts'. You say 'yes'. They start calling crisis teams. You think 'but what's going on, I have suicidal thoughts every day'.

I'm just at a point where I have something strong enough to keep me going right now. and because of the stigma of this I'm scared to say yes when therapists ask if I'm suicidal. by the time I could say yes id start panicking (cause social anxiety) and not be able to finish explaining "yes I'm suicidal but I do not wish to act on it"

When you say your depressed out to people they think that you’re not really depressed, that you’re just exaggerating. Or they think that you’re joking. I never joke when I say I am. For a few months in 2018 I overcame my depression and it got better but everything came rushing back soon. I’ve thought of killing myself but I thought about how much the people in my life would hurt from me killing myself and I always push away the thought. Honestly I’ve found only one way to cope with my depression and that’s through BTS. Everyone has their own ways to cope and it doesn’t matter what it is, it just matters that it’s helping you take away that pain for a little bit. I’m so happy that they could over come that and are able to be here today to share their opinions on depression. I hope that anyone else with depression can overcome it or can be a little happier each day.
similar with me. im the average teen at an average school, I make jokes about being depressed but I always mean them. I've physically hurt myself and contemplated suicide and the people that found out called me attention-seeking and psycho which made me feel scared to reach out for help at all. i started getting better and was a year clean from everything before it all came rushing back last year. im still struggling but im finally reaching out for help a few ways for me to cope is to drown out the thoughts by talking to friends or watching youtube or twitch. another is collecting stuffed toys to hug when I get depressed (currently at 72) these things often help me to calm down and feel a bit better. im so happy that im starting to overcome this and I know its going to be a rough journey but I know I can make it out and be okay. also I wish you the best with your life :)

Honestly this was really nice to read. I just recently started watching BTS videos on RU-vid of them just being themselves and it really helped me not feel depressed as much. I only heard one of their songs which was dynamite which is obviously very famous, but they still helped me the past few weeks. Sometimes I just wish that I could stay awake while I'm sleeping because it's only at those rare midnight hours that I feel the burden and stress lifted off of me and that I'm finally free
