People want to hate this, despite the fact that they're still a great band. Just imagine this song with Mitch's vocals; both this and Cease To Exist would sound EXACTLY like Suicide Silence with Mitch's vocals, but Mitch is gone and that won't change. I for one have a crazy amount of respect for the band. Imagine being in a band with one of your best friends for years and years, and despite him dying still finding the strength to carry on and get up onstage without him every night just to keep his legacy alive. Every day the guys keep this band alive they will be reminded of not only losing a band member, but a best friend to a horrible accident. But they still keep writing music and keep doing this for Mitch, and for US. They're writing music for Mitch and for the fans, and whether you like the music or not I would expect people to at least have a sense of decency. There's a lot more to this than you teenagers writing bitchy comments behind your computer screens seem to understand.

I think people just need to realize that this is still just music. And by "just music" I mean it's something a bunch of guys are doing to entertain people, it's nothing something that's supposed to be or needs to be hated. That's the thing about music, there's something for everyone. If people don't like it they don't have to listen, but after all this band have survived through I think the very least people owe them is decency and respect. Imagine being in a band where a member died who was a close friend, and every day you woke up to comments like "shit band now blah blah blah". It would be absolutely crushing, not to mention unnecessary and insulting to Mitch's name and legacy, and more people need to appreciate that this band are still here after all that's happened; because let's be serious, most bands wouldn't be.

The lyrics of this song really mean a lot to me, because I have been broken down, beaten up and pushed aside. I've been bullied since year 7. But I'm in year 12 now and I'm not bullied as much, and I listen to this kind of music, and listening to these lyrics really helps me to appreciate the artists that helped me through those times...

I heard the beginning and expected Mitch's voice to come in......then I feel pain. I like Eddie. His time with ASP was awesome. So many good tunes. He has a larger range than Mitch did, but Mitch's vocals just meshed so well with everything else. I think that is what many of us are missing aside from a damn fine human being.

Eddie's lyrics are usually very good, this is evident with ASP. However I think that they kept the lyrical style Mitch had. He tended to use repetitive, poor lyrics. Even the patterns are almost identical in style to Mitch. It works.

Jacob STTK betraying the martyr is deadly but there not as heavy as ss in my personal opinion and this album itself has alot of pain/anger/sadness and more into it making it that much better since mitch unfortunate passing on us. Love the music. Hate the lyrics. "We sing these songs..." when the lyrics speak so directly from the lyricist and take awareness of being lyrics in a song, it just ruins it for me. Its like watching a movie that's suppose to be serious and then the character makes a remark directly toward the audience and gives away their awareness of being in a movie. I its all art and anything goes, but it just bugs me.

mrtalkative91 Yeah I get what they're saying, that's cool. I just think the way they phrased it could have been more artfully crafted. Its just too blunt and literal. It would have been better if he was more poetic, more figurative, I'd find the lyrics more interesting if they were more ambiguous, its more enjoyable when you have to put some thought into it to get what they are saying. I suppose straight forward phrases is pretty typical for deathcore and other heavy music. Honestly if this horrible trend of bands doing lyric videos would end, I wouldn't get so caught up with the bland lyrics so many artists in this genre have.

I like Eddie SOUNDWISE more than Mitchell. Mitch was the CO-FOUNDER of the band and it's always sad if such a personality who made the band famous by his unique sound passes away and of course I am with the mourning fans and 'specially family, however I think that Eddies voice sounds a lot more mature, intense and stronger. The combo between Eddie Hermida and Suicide was one of the best things that could happen in the death metal scene I find personally!

Jesus this is not a funeral service! Why would they write nursery school rhymes dedicated to mitch's passing 2 years ago. He's had his funeral, he's had his goodbye's. Just let him rest in peace now. This band needs to grow up and write something decent for a change.

This band marketing their love-letter style songs are not about making good music - it's about acquiring a larger fan base, and that's about it. The lyrics are an immediate turn off for me... I was hoping that Suicide Silence wouldn't start following the trend of "omg this band saved my life" like almost every other metal/death core band has. I mean its a positive message I guess, but its being done way too often now, and I feel like its just a way to keep a big chunk of their fan base (a.k.a, teenage girls who think their life is just sooo horrible and who need to stop being whiny little self-absorbed bitches).

well, this song is a kind of FUCK YOU to these self-absorbed bitches i think, since it states "Dont Die" but also "Life is a prison", think about it, the bitches say "my life is the worst, no one feels this pain except for me", and SS reacts kinda like "well, dont die then", and the cool thing is the bitches will think that SS saved them, while they fucking masterfully screwed the girls over by making them think that when in reality they insult them. :D

Oh shit, this guy sounds awesome, i thought the band was going to change the tune a little, but it sounds like Suicide Silence still. I'm glad they are still around, they are my favorite, even though Mitch is gone, his essence still in the band.

i miss when he wrote lyrics for all shall perish. this just sounds like written by a 16 year old teenager. i guess he tried really hard to achieve the black crown style. song-wise it could be worse i guess but still not impressed.
