And it's a massive pity I remember the first time I played batman arkham asylum and I had the greatest time ever and arkham city was and is my favorite super hero game of all time but I guess eventually all game companies great or small have a fall from grace

@@HARLEM-NEWYORK I didn't know it was EXCLUSIVELY a TPS so I assumed there would be a healthy mix. Especially since they have characters like King Shark and Harley Quinn who are pretty Melee focused characters.
Well from the last gameplay we got if I remember correctly there was more melee and use of powers and gadgets than the shooting. I’m assuming there’s gonna be instances where you can use melee and then other times where you’ll have to play like it’s fortnite

@@youthpolitik2110 It's floaty and it seems like all of the characters are gonna play fairly similarly. This would be fine if it weren't in the Arkham universe, the whole point of that universe is that it's fairly grounded with stuff like gravity existing but in this they're hopping around like it's nothing. Fans of the Arkham games don't want this type of gameplay, an Arkham combat style game with these characters could have been interesting but instead they went the boring route of a shlooter with gameplay reminiscent of Fortnite.
Getting the voice actor of Heimdall from GOW Ragnarok to voice Flash is just the perfect casting I've ever heard for a voice portrayal. Scott Porter sounds EXACTLY like how I would think Barry would sound irl

Actually, the game about Superman is a failure even at the stage of the idea. What kind of game can you make about a super-strong dude? "Avengers 2"? An empty open world and millions of dummies who need to be spammed with punches? Nah, it would hardly be more fun than what we are seeing now.

Pretty sure they intended to at some point but WB told them no because they didn’t want them to touch Superman. So instead, they just have Superman’s villain in Superman’s city control Superman and a terrible SS lineup has to try and kill him.

Videogames are already a power fantasy, giving Clark tough opponents isnt the problem. Making a superman game where the gameplay has a strong emphasis on saving civilians whilst fighting enemies, is all that needs to be done.
@artemererer God of War is literally about a God. You play a near invincible god but they made enemies tough enough to defeat you. And realistically, Kratos wouldn't be taken out by some lava Draugr, but he can be for the sake of the gameplay. Same can be done for Superman, obviously he's not going to be going up against the common thug.
I was never more disappointed with a game before. As a huge DC fan and fan of Arkham games, I didn't expect this shit, I was expecting badass melee combat and cool skills. Instead of melee combat system, we have a third-person looter=shooter. My hype is nearly dropped 100% to 40%. I'm so disappointed with Rocksteady. This looks like a disaster. Instead of this, make decent single-player melee based games.

Apart from the live service debacle I was expecting some Arkham signature gameplay: Cool melee moves but combined with a clever use of firearms like Devil May Cry maybe, with the dodge mechanic there and putting combos together even as a team with nice finisher moves. Harley has her hammer, Shark could use his fists and Boomerang, well, his boomerang. Instead they went full shooter and the traversal design is as lazy as it can get, not clever like Arkham with gliding, planning movement, getting momentum. No, just jump, fly and hover. Geez, it can't be more generic.

this game looks generic asf, how we came through the beautiful arkham saga to this generic fortnite sh*t. if i ever play this game would be only because the story behind it. so much potential lost in this game having finally the justice league.
Please delay the game, the story is probably the element that i'm hyped for but as far as gameplay for the individual characters, they feel very similar from each other and doesn't help how they're all using guns as their primary with a few specials. Instead of trying to appeal to all, just focus on one genre and make it really good, i really hope this doesn't fall into the same category as gotham knights or the avengers.

Why have the whole team use GUNS? when thats literaly Deadshots role. Boomerang should use BOOMERANGS with differnet static effecets explosion, fire, electricity and have the ability to teleport rivaling flashes Speed. and the other members playing like the JL Deadshot being tactcal and gear/gadget heavy like Batman, Harley IDK she could be a jack of all trades master of none and King Shark play like a Tank/yet having some agility. Everybody can do the exact same thing there is no differentiation so why bother playing as anyone!!! I really hoped this would be the better game out of the DC stuff coming out but what a shame it's to SHOOTER heavy might as well be an FPS with all the GUNS and bAttLePaSs laughable as too are the sound and feel of the GUNS. Pathetic. And where is the weight in the attacks...they're non exsistant. I do like the artstyle love the SS in this and some of their finishers and the Flash's potrayal with Diana was GOOD.
Imagine having access to a group of worldwide beloved superheroes and instead of create a game with the endless possibilities of superpowers, the studio decides to make a generic 3rd person shooter where the B- tier cast have to KILL the beloved super heroes. RIP Rocksteady

This looks awful. The day this releases, I reckon I'll start a second playthrough of Arkham Knight, and enjoy how great Rocksteady used to be. Even when this game is heavily discounted (likely within a few weeks of launch) I'll still pass it up.
Oh...oh no, this looks like Gotham Knights but with slightly better movement. There goes my last bit of interest in the game. The guns all sound like shit, none of the hits look like they have any impact, and the constant quippy dialogue made me want to run head first into a wall

Game looks awesome graphically but what's up with the weird gameplay? Too bad this is a live service game with seasonal battle passes. Learning that instantly killed my interest in it. I also just learned it requires a constant internet connection to play solo due to the battle pass progress needing to be tracked by a server. Edit: It's sad seeing so many people in the replies defending battle passes. It doesn't matter if it's cosmetic only content. That's content that should be included in the purchase price of the game and not drip fed for an extra money.

Harley swings in the air for aerial mobility, Boomerang teleports instead Deadshot has a jetpack Shark umm wills himself to stay on the air and dashes around like everybody else? They all primarily shoot guns, they all have mobility, they do all the same things but are changed slightly to match the character lmao, I'm sure some people still like it but meehh, generic live service looter shooter? Yikes, why even enter that market when other established titles are there already like destiny, the division, warframe etc This dev studio literally revolutionized 3rd person combat which other games copied, ONE WOULD THINK THAT THEY'D COMEBACK AS THE BIGBOIS OF THE GENRE BUT NOPE, let's make it a live service looter shooter game because that's what we're good at right?
