A bike and hike walking to Suilven, Caisteal liath and great wild camping or a very good wildcamping spot.walking Suilven.The full route path and the approach is from lochinver in highlands of Scotland or suileag bothy. Park car in walkers car park at glencanisp lodge and follow the track.This is a great walk to suilven mountain. Another alternative walking route to suilven is to start at Inverkirkaig car park.The walk to suilven distance is a little further passing kirkaig waterfall.This is

The Scottish Highlands are a Mecca for hill walkers.The views from the summit of Suilven are superb with canisp ,Ben more assynt, conival,breabag,cul mhor and stack pollaidh,cul beag all in view.scotlands mountain's are the finest in the UK and the most scenic but sometimes paths test the best navigators so be prepared with a map and compass or gps unit.
Suilven is in the Scottish geopark and as rocks of torridonian sand stone and lewisian gneiss over 1 billion years old.

Having grown up in the nearby village of Lochinver, Suilven was a looming presence all my formative years. I regretfully have never climbed it. Thanks for sharing.

@@andrewsadventures5747 hiya Andrew.. Approximately 90 minutes.. Hard to say exactly with not walking to the bothy. It was slow on the bike with the track being very rough and probably just as quick walking...... Thanks Alan gregory Adventures

A well presented video and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I visited Lochinver a few years back and was in awe of Suilven. I’m going back there in a few months and I’m contemplating taking my Mountain Bike like you did or walking from Car Park but it maybe too hard to walk all that way. Beautiful vid of a stunning area! your drone footage is superb, we did this a few years ago at the end of October in cold wet conditions, I had a Phantom 1 and didn't dare fly it, it was that rough, so now I know what it looks like from a drone, truly special. Well done on an excellent presentation of this awesome mountain :) Tim

2 billion years? Wow Alan that's not even walking with the dinosaurs. Amazing out the back there - really wild and wonderful. A steep incline but well worth it on top. Good going. Mark

Great video Alan, one of those hills that's instantly recognisable when you see it. I remember the first time I saw it from An Teallach and there was no doubt what hill I could see in the distance. Cracking views and what a fine day you got. Take care. Mick.
