For STP parked in debt fund , what about the tax implications at the time of transfer into eqity .. it should be short term capital .. same as one income slab ( 30%) Then how dies it help

It is not prudent to invest in FD as you wl be paying 30% tax on interest accrued too your post tax return wl be only 6%. You should have long term vision of minimum 10 years and should not lose heart with volatility of market and take it as golden opportunity to invest. You may invest Rs 1 cr in a period of 6 months - weekly SIP or STP In mutual funds post tax return wl be 10% to 15% as LTCG 12.5% applied only in redemption
You can invest in Balanced Advantage Funds, Aggressive/ Conservative Hybrid Funds, Flexi Cap Funds and Multicap/Multi Asset Funds. Before investing, check to see that these Funds are more large cap oriented than mid-cap/small cap - to be on the safer side. Remain invested for at least five years or more.
