Suits Harvey Destroys Trevor during Mike's Trial

Criminal law adheres to 'beyond all reasonable doubt'. So, even a small sapling of the seed of doubt is enough to see a case thrown out. Law is all about playing the percentages. I worked under Rob Stary, one of the better criminal lawyers here in Australia as part of work placements, and he regularly alludes to this very scene as part of getting a point across. Suits may be a work of fiction, but a lot of it's content presents as powerful teaching tools for those either in the early years of law school, or interested in moots.

He also conveniently left out the part where he ratter his supposed best friend out to Jessica out of jealousy

They couldn't bring up that part cause their whole case was based on that the allegations against Mike are false. If they brought in the part that Mike cheated on the test for him, it proved that Mike never went to Harvard.

If only he listened to his Grandmother when he was in high school about getting rid of Trevor, this wouldn’t have happened. He might’ve also managed to go to Harvard, cmon he was quite smart regardless of his photographic memory.

I agree, but corporate law isn't like what Suits makes it out to be. A lot of this is over exaggerated and corporate law in the real world is a lot more boring than this, but If it were like Suits then id jump at the chance to work in the field

Muzamil, it’s probably as exciting as that when you’re playing at their level. They’re the very best in the world and all the grinding and paperwork is made by their army of paralegal and lower level lawyer

Thank you! No other person has pointed that out, but they're saying Trevor is speaking the truth when the truth is that Mike's life, prior to Harvey, was a mess because of Trevor.

He lied one time. The lie doesn't have to be about the case. Just a lie about something random ruines the whole testemony that is why gibbs tried to stop harvey but judge didn't let it happen

+Leeroy Jenkins Well, the laws or rules they mention all check out. The only stuff that don't check out are certain minor details like the LSAT scene in the pilot episode: no non-religious headgear is allowed and there are suppose to be multiple proctors in the testing room. There are might also be a few flaws regarding how Mike was able to just walk in and take the bar. Then again, he might have found some illegal workarounds to get in. Overall, most of the stuff in the show do check out.

Completely agree! He sits up there all high and mighty acting as if he is better than Mike just because he's not a drug dealer anymore and isn't breaking the law but what about his integrity. Many people are doing that. Law degrees have very high dropout rates these days. Now correlation does not equal causation, but it's something to think about.

Believe me, you can‘t study law just because of suits. It‘s too much and too difficult, you can‘t motivate yourself to study that much just by watching this. So maybe you choose law because you saw suits, but at the end of the day you also need no discover the love to law, otherwise you are lost. So what I am trying to say is that it doesn‘t matter if your motivation to get into law school was suits, if you mastered it and you are a lawyer, you definitely have interest in law and you are definitely not a dummy
