i'm so glad to see this video. i love all of the others, of course, but this was particularly satisfying to me because it's a walk that I've done many times. thank you so much for this series! p.s. for your viewers, on Soi 18, you see a white sign that says Artis. It's been voted as one of Bangkok's best coffee shops. it's small but the coffee and snacks are pretty good...
yes, it's pretty small. i'm sometimes an early riser so i get there before most people and then it's not a problem. if you do a search for best coffee shops in bangkok, i think this place will likely show up. of course, bangkok has a LOT of great coffee shops so there are many to choose from. thank you again for making these wonderful videos!
Its so much easier to use the sky train platform to cross Asoke road rather than spending ages waiting for the lights to change. Benchasiri park is the nicest part of that walk and you didn't even venture inside !!!
Good points. I would normally take the skywalk but choose to go down on the street to film pala romana and a few other places. I should probably do a video just about this Bangkok park or include a range of parks in walking distance of Sukhumvit.
Very nice video as usual. But just want to know if you have change up your mind for not filming the soi now?? it seems that you stopped at soi 33 and change the theme.
Personally. I don't think Pala is that good. Their pizza crust is a little stiff, and that's not Italian. The restaurant has a great location and the pizza slices in the window draw in the customers. There are far better pizza choices within a few blocks of Pala, like Peppina's and Unico 23 on Soi 23 and Rossano's on Asok Soi 3. Also, a lot of people ask where to find a real opthalmologist in Bangkok. There is a very good clinic at 14:10 sandwiched betwixt the Brazilian restaurants and next to Blend Bistro called V. Siam Optical. If you have medical requirements which can't be handled by the usual optometrist clinics in Thailand, it's an inexpensive shop for those needs. They are one of only 3 clinics in Thailand that sell RGP contact lenses. Great street view review as always!
Lawyer Mark Hi Lawyer Mark, Thanks for the tips on good places to get a pizza in BKK. I live in Melbourne, Australia but travel to Bangkok several times every year. I really enjoy Pala Pizza Romana and make a point of eating there whenever I am in town. I will try some of your other suggested places when I am there with my daughter in a couple of weeks. I love Bangkok for the local food, fabulous mix of culture and well priced hotels. Similar to Aus in many ways but more vibrant, friendly and affordable. Not to mention warmer than Melbourne too! Cheers, School Nurse
I quite like their crispy crust, if that's not authentic Italian then I am sorry about my error. Even if it is not entirely authentic I still rate it as one of the best pizza places I have been to in Bangkok. I haven't been to the other places you suggest so probably have a lot to learn still. Thanks for the tips.
