Just realized that this really exists. Some people only want you because they can’t have you. And when they got to be with you, they lose interest. They only get fueled with the thought of wanting someone they can’t have. #thoughtsaboutjohanna
I think I might be like that sometimes, but I can’t know for sure. I always want people I can’t have bc I’m gay and the other person is basically never.
@@francis484 I think she still is.. a little over 3 months ago I learned about this song from my sister and I only found it by typing in water suki house. I found that out because I heard it from my sisters phone and attempted to look it up myself by typing in Johanna and wasn’t able to find it until then.
There are no words to describe how much I love this song and all the other songs Suki has released. This indie dream-pop sound is SO GOOD!!! I really, really hope Suki gets to release more songs, she's too damn talented not to!
In my life this song- a forbidden romance, infidelity, love, guilt of having no guilt, passionate, being used, so naive, left alone, heartbreak. Now listening i am listening it again to brew up some lovely times in my memories before I acted naive and foolish. Before I was taken advantage of.
Can’t find you Can’t find you Where are you? Where are you? Can’t find you Can’t find you Where are you? Where are you? I was drinking hard Acting tough But it was just a crush Just a crush On Johanna, Johanna Only want her cos I can’t have her Remember meeting me for breakfast And you complained about the waitress And told me all your dirty secrets Oh, my Johanna Johanna Johanna Who am I? Who am I? Couldn’t tell ya Couldn’t tell ya Who am I ? Who am I? Couldn’t tell ya Couldn’t tell ya I was feeling love, being used Now I’m so confused, so confused Electric lights Lucky strikes We danced all night and then I looked in ya eyes and said Johanna Johanna Only want ya cos I can’t have ya At least we’re no longer pretending I heard you got your happy ending Although I’m sad to see you leaving Oh, Johanna Johanna Only want you cos I can’t have ya
In another perspective, Johanna is the happy/positive version of yourself that you are wanting and finding/seeking. The version of yourself that you only want cuz you cant have (it's because it's hard for you to achieve happiness).
I listened to this song freshman year of high school (last year, 2023) on my way to science camp as a cabin leader watching over the campers for a week. Driving through the forest covered mountains, the memory always stuck with me. I’m a sophomore in high school now and this song already makes me feel nostalgic, suki you’re a genius and I love you for it so much
Can't find you, can't find you Where are you? Where are you? Can't find you, can't find you Where are you? Where are you? I was drinking hard, acting tough But it was just a crush, just a crush On Johanna, Johanna Only want her 'cause I can't have her Remember meeting me for breakfast? And you complained about the waitress And told me all your dirty secrets Oh, my Johanna, Johanna (Johanna) Who am I? Who am I? Couldn't tell ya, couldn't tell ya Who am I? Who am I? Couldn't tell ya, couldn't tell ya I was feeling love, being used Now I'm so confused, so confused Electric lights, lucky strikes We danced all night and then I looked in your eyes And said Johanna, Johanna Only want ya 'cause I can't have ya At least we're no longer pretending I heard you got your happy ending Although I'm sad to see you leaving Oh, Johanna, Johanna Only want you 'cause I can't have ya
This is so freaking underrated I hope she and her music get more attention..so sad to see people only know her because of robert pattison and good looking
This song is amazing! I’ve been listening to it now for 3 months.. and wow it’s not only beautiful but it tells a true story... sometimes people want you because they can’t have you you’re out of reach. But then when they finally do get with you they lose interest and no longer feel the way they felt about you. This song is sad, but it’s also beautiful.
i rewatched this video after a couple of years, and noticed at the end her hand is bandaged up and bloody. i wonder if this has any significance to the video, if so could someone explain why that’s the last scene? i’m genuinely curious
thank you for this song, the person I loved only wanted me because she couldn’t have me, as soon as she could she disappeared. As a Johanna I can relate too well!
