This was such a great and saddening scene!! Poor baby... my Mom had scoliosis as a child. She's more than fine now after surgery and metal rods inserted in the back. Thank God for modern medicine. I cried so hard when I heard baby Cihangir crying and screaming when the levers were pulled. No child deserves that pain. I felt like if I was Hürrem in that room when it was happening, I would be screaming and crying at the doctor telling them to stop hurting the poor baby😭😭😭😭
Hurrem is such a great mother and her children are best siblings to each other. If Mustafa had Hurrem as a mother he would be lucky. Pooor dude paid for having worst mother.
Hürrem did one big mistake. She was so focused on dealing with her enemies that she neglected the rivalry/jealousy between Selim and Beyazid ever since they were young. By the time they were grown men, it was too late. She was the only one who could keep them apart and after she died, that was it.
Bayazid was always a diffkult child ( bad temper/ hateful toward Selim/ disobedient to Suleiman...). His first victim, as a padishah were Selim. Selim always knew this.

Well cihangir died of illness that he had since birth. Its now believed he died of a morphine overdose which he took to relieve his pain. Cihangir barely knew mustafa so he did not die of grief

When just kids are starting to have it, they can prevent becoming a hunchback by doing special exercises. I know because I got it when was 7, and those exercises did cure me. At later stages, it can be cured by operation. Of course, having a hunch is a very late stage that can't be cured, unfortunately 😕
