ok, here' s a little story if u get bored: when I was like ten, I was OBSESSED with brutal dupstep mixes. I remember searching on ytb something like "best brutal dupstep album", or "epic dupstep"(especially by Alez Mtch). Then I was with a lot of alternative rock bands, then I became slightly nostalgic and I would listen some indie shit( idk even how to call this kind of music.) but I got bored... Then a friend introduced me to metal... and damn, it's so fucking great( death/dark metal). When I found this, I felt like I was makeing peace with my ten years old self. great music.
