This whole show was amazing. It’s called Avalon Live and there’s a ton of really good songs. It was when Sully was experimenting outside of Godsmack and they really put some good stuff together.
@SOCIAL MEDIA IS THE WORST I think you’re talking about Hometown Life. That’s the only other solo album I know of. I wasn’t a big fan of that. No where near the production and/or sound Avalon had.
Gotta love Sully, a fellow Masshole, with insane talent! I lived about 5 miles from where that performance took place. I have it on Blu ray and watch it constantly! So damn good
You have to check out “My Light” by Sully. Song about his daughter that reeks havoc on your feels ! “Different Kind of Tears” is a brutal song about addiction and all that suffer.
Sully is an amazing musician overall. Plays drums, harmonica, piano, guitar, and probably more. But that's all I know. Everything he does is great. Check out until then, godsmack cover of reefer headed woman live!! Or touche' live they were done in Vegas at the House of Blues. Touche' was 1st Reefer headed woman closed the set. They are both great!! But also obscure so they probably won't get immediate attention. However you guys would love all of these songs.
Great song, great reaction. If you wanna see some more of Sully's talent check out: Godsmack - Drum Battle HD - Sully Erna vs Shannon Larkin - Batalla De Los Tambores (HD). It is amazing.
Another one from this incredible performance is "Until Then". It will move you, but in a different way than this song did. I promise you won't regret listening to it.
Ms. Lisa Guyer is the female vocalist/percussionist. Sully is another child prodigy who begin playing percussion/drums at very young age and started composing his own music by his teens. "Avalon" is probably Sully Erna's masterpiece not a single song on the album is bad . It took him 7 years to write, compose and then record the album every instrument on the album is the actual instrument(NO synths), the live band uses synths just so they didn't have to bring an entire orchestra on the road. The band is made up of friends and people he admires musically. Sully, Lisa and the hand drum/drummer are from Southeast New Hampshire/Northeast Massachusetts. I live in the same area. My last two concerts were Godsmack(Sully's band) and Lisa Guyer and her trio at a local British bar. They are as good live as they are on the album.
Another great one is the Sully Erna/Shannon Larkin drum battle. It's a song but it's awesome. In the video Sully is on the left side of the stage, Shannon is on the right. I say it's a song becuse it's not a typical drum battle. Mote of a drum led song. But it is KiLLER!!!
About to check if you have done more, but please do if you haven't. Avalon and Broken Road are great - but honestly this whole show (and album) is just absolute fire. I cannot recommend it enough!!! I know it's a low amount of "likes" - but honestly, fuck that and do yourself a favour, even if you don't do a vid for it.
Hi Travis. Hi Suzie. That was absolutely brilliant. All the musicians were on point and the vocals were superb. I need to check out Avalon.. I didn't know about the concept. Thanks for another great reaction . Love and peace 👍✌️🤘
Hot dang! I have NEVER heard Sully outside of Godsmack. And that female singer is INCREDIBLE! This was amazing! The bongos remind me of Godsmack's Voodoo. I don't think you've reacted to any Godsmack. I recommend the following. (I actually giggled when you said Sully had an angelic voice because my experience with him in Godsmack is definitely not angelic).
