A performance by The Sultan Stevenson Trio at the prestigious Jazzahead conference in Bremen in 2024. Sultan (piano) is joined by his recording and performing line-up of Jacob Gryn on Bass and Joel Waters on Drums.
Sultan was performing the tracks "Guilty By Association" and "To Be Seen" from his debut album "Faithful One" released on Whirlwinds records.
Sultan is one of the leading lights on the British Jazz scene and despite his young age (23 at the time of video) he is already displaying a superior level of confidence and majority in his compositions and performances.
Sultan's momentum shows no signs of slowing. His 2023 album release show at London's Jazz Cafe was a sell out. He earned showcase slot at SXSW in Texas as part of the jazz Re:freshed 'outernational' event. Additionally, he performed a Jazzahead! Showcase in Germany and a sold-out Cheltenham Jazz Festival. In 2023 Sultan won a Parliamentary Jazz Award for best newcomer of the year. Sultan is set to release a follow up album in early 2025.
