It’s a common technique in flamenco guitar. You can spread your fingers as your strum down and get an nice effect :)
@xdarrenx
@xdarrenx 5 месяцев назад
Ye it's this funny thing where rock players all are good with tapping, sweep picking, alternate picking, economy picking, and are the ones that discover Mark. Yet in flamenco the entire playstyle is drenched with the "rasguedo" technique and this is just the tip of the iceberg what you can do with it

Double Upstroke? I think you mean double downstroke? :-) or two fingers going down at the same time?
@FoardenotFord
@FoardenotFord Год назад
@@roman-feelguitar I meant the upstroke of the index finger, followed by the middle finger. Is that considered a downstroke, because it goes from the high e to the low e? I’m not sure, but either way, that’s what I was referring to
@Bordackh
@Bordackh 5 месяцев назад
@@FoardenotFord you're correct. The up or down part refers to the physical up or down movement not the pitch going up or down. idk what roman is on about.

Step one, buy a stratocaster. Step two, switch to bridge pickup only...
@DAODEA
@DAODEA Год назад
OMG. That's how he did it. Middle finger. Wow. I got the finger picking and the solos down years ago, even the double stop vibrato, blocking my right hand against the trem bridge for double stop bends - but I could never get the strumming. No way to power through the rhythm without being too heavy and slow. Hours watching the old grey whistle test slowed down. So simple but genius. It was probably done without thought. Just natural for Mark.
