@@zayburnell wouldn't say rip off, they did pay homage to various bands in certain tracks and videos. Pretty sure the rhythm section in Still Waiting is a nod to Metallica, as well as Iron Maiden and Judas Priest references in some tracks of the the All Killer and Half Hour albums.
@@Bilbo_mk1 combined responsibility by mxpx to motivation. The 1st verse of the hell song to nickelback how you remind me intro. This song is a rip off metallicas battery and master of puppets combined.
I love Underclass Hero and am glad they hung onto those lyrics to create that song later on, but at the time, why the hell didn't they put this gem in Chuck? Obviously it resembles No Reason at times but who cares?
Holy shit... After all these years I found it. Around 2008 a Need for Speed Most Wanted music video used this and I only knew the Underclass Hero version. I hunted an alternate version of that for YEARS. Thank you WIKI!
@@Futureal_Dio yes, you did. But what does it change or add to the original comment? It's like me saying "Chuck came out before Underclass Hero", without any context.
Having this bonus track at the end of Chuck ties it perfectly back to the start, and gives a feeling of "time to break the circle" in my mind, shame it wasn't included on the standard album itself but Noots is such a perfect end song as well that I understand the decision to make it a bonus track
This actually is a complete track. I believe at the time it reminded a bit too much of No Reason so they left it out of Chuck. They liked the chorus so much tho that they made a new song revolving around it, Underclass Hero.
i love both songs though i'll admit, the chorus seems to fit more in subject to change than underclass hero then again, it's probably because i've known about subject to change for years, whereas i only just heard underclass hero not even a month ago hah
@@Randoman35 It's not only about the chorus itself, it also depends on the context you put it in. It has a completely different impact in Subject To Change which I also prefer, somehow it pops out more with these heavy verses.
Quick question for you guys, if you know the song noots by sum 41 it isn’t on any of their albums on Spotify, it’s on the fantastic 4 soundtrack. I’ve had it downloaded for the longest time and just a few months back it grayed out it won’t play the song, it just says something about it being a radio song or something. Kind of irritated me because it’s my favourite sum 41 song. If you guys have the same problem let me know
Dang, it's 2024 and I still don't understand what people use Spotify for. Why is it a problem that something is not on Spotify? No one listens to music from their device anymore?
So how long has this gone? I dont see this ending... it's too late, we cant take what has now begun.. we act like it's not right, why are we pretending?? Weve been gone for so long, we knew this all along......dam... tear me up
A lot of people get weirded out by how its the predecessor of No Reason and Underclass Hero.... personally, I discovered this song first so it doesn't confuse me much. I actually prefer it to either though they are all dope songs
this was basically one of the songs that they scratched from chuck. in most album recordings about half the songs a band will write will get cut from the final album. they did release this song for the Korean album as a bonus track, but then when they were writing stuff for Underclass Hero this got resurfaced and changed around to the song everyone knows now.
to anybody left wondering: "The chorus of "Underclass Hero" is a remake of the chorus from the unfinished version of "No Reason" that originally appeared on Chuck and was released as a bonus track, titled "Subject to Change"." [wikipedia]
This goes back to what I said before. They disliked because they didn't like the song. The buttons there for a reason. If somebody clicks it they didn't like the video/song. Let them click it if they want. It doesn't effect the videos performance in any way at all.
@xoxoLaauraa Das Ding ist ne B-Seite vom Album Chuck. und war wohl ursprünglich ne idee für No Reason. No Reason wurde dan naber ein eigener Song und die Demo (wohl am meisten den Chorus) fanden die Jungs dann aber wohl so gut, da später noc hwas draus zu machen (deshalb der Titel subject to change) - Tja daraus wurde dann Underclass Hero (;
if only Dave stuck around for underclass heros, we would of got something like this for underclass heros. I guess you can say this song is "subject to change" lol
how can we fake this and take anymore looking up blindly and try to ignore its better to miss it, there's no point of view its only a problem when it happens to you well thanks for making this so easy what's the point if it's so easy why the fuck is it so easy why's it don't you say cause we're doing fine and we don't need to be told and we're doing fine cause we won't give you control and we don't need anything from you and we'll be just fine cause we won't be bought and sold just like you lies in the sender when nothing is true don't be surprised when it comes back to you are you on a mission to lose our control or waiting for tragedy to unfold what makes you think that it's so easy don't believe it will be so easy why the fuck would it be so easy why's it don't you say cause we're doing fine and we don't need to be told and we're doing fine cause we won't give you control and we don't need anything from you and we'll be just fine cause we won't be bought and sold just like you so how long has this gone i don't see this ending its too late we can't change what has now begun we act like it's not right why are we pretending we've been wrong for so long we've known this all along you created these problems and you don't know what to do you know you can solve them but can't be bothered to you created these problems and you don't know what to do you know you can solve them but can't be bothered to cause we're doing fine and we don't need to be told and we're doing fine cause we won't give you control and we don't need anything from you and we'll be just fine cause we won't be bought and sold just like you
